*NEW Feature* Undeleting Profile

Windermere, FL, Us

You don't need to do this. What you do is the following:

Create a free profile with the name you want.

Contact customer service and they will move the paid membership from the old to the new, which will then become a free member profile.

You will not be able to carry over any certs, and you'll have to build your profile back from scratch, but you won't have to pay again.

Rich1110 I asked that question as we wanted to change ours (17 years the old one is not relevant )
We were told that you will lose everything to change over. So looks like we are all stuck with our first choice unless you don't care about what you have accumulated after all these years.

We want to change our profile name without losing everything. Can someone help us.

I know this question is very old but, to suggest a workaround to the "Suspend button" that JandDeb asked for:

Just select "Block Them" for all profile types (Males, Females, and Couples).

Lol. I sure enough canceled by mistake and asked if I could reverse it they said no. But low and behold 4 days before cancellation they find the fix. Story of my life!!!

I was apparently using the wrong login routine but I got your message and am trying to fix the problem.

Hi. Didn't have time to read through every post on this topic, but had the same question and have a suggestion.

How about adding a "Suspend" feature that simply takes your profile off the grid without deleting it. This is nice for lifetime paid members who want to take a break for a bit but don't want to be deleted. For non lifetime members, it could simply expire when your subscription runs out, at which time you get a message saying your profile will be deleted if you don't renew. People on your friends list would see a notice that says you're taking a break and will be back later.

Simple, and solves the problem for everyone. No?

Undeleting a profile should not be allowed. If somebody is for whatever reason not quite comfortable with swinging to leave his or her profile posted that he or she should have to pay for a new profile.

After the 7 days you'll have to create and purchase a new membership? What if they had a lifetime one? You would have to re purchase the lifetime ?????

YES!! Finally! I have deleted my profile numerous times and each time regretted that decision. "If only there was a way I could 'un-delete' my profile up to a week after making such a terrible decision!" I don't know if you realize just how many peoples' lives will be greatly enhanced by this wonderful new feature, but your developer team deserves a giant bonus for their diligence in fixing this egregious oversight.

Now, if the team could spend a few hours bringing the rest of the site up to the standards of other social sites circa 2005, I think the users here would be even happier than they are following the un-delete news.

To undelete your profile, do you just need to log in again within the 7 days? We decided not to go ahead with deleting the profile so we logged back in but can't find an undelete option anywhere. Thanks.

Our problem with the website is opening our profile to SMs. We get flooded with unwanted emails. It would be nice to be able to select SMs to be able view our profile without opening it to all SMs.

Out of all of the things that needed attention on SLS, profile retrieval (after said profile is deleted) is what you guys consider to be important enough to fix FIRST?

Members are now able to "Undelete" their profile.

What this means:

If you have set your profile for deletion and change your mind, you are now able to "undelete" and reinstate your profile as long as it is done within 7 days of deletion.

After 7 days your profile will become permanently deleted from the site.

Don't Forget:

If you want to delete your profile and have recurring billing set up, please make sure to stop the payment process as well. Otherwise you will continue to be charged.

Refunds are not offered for charges that continue to be deducted. It is your responsibility to cancel this process.
