Message Limbo is back again

This happens to me quite often when using the mobile app. (Only time messages just vanish on the website is when attempting to send to a free user that I hadn't noticed was a paid account, or an account that is EXTREMELY new).

When using the app, I've found that if I get sidetracked by the real world and allow the screen to shut off, then when going back and trying to send a message, it will ALWAYS just vanish. The only way to get around this is to manually close the app, and re-open it. But I'm sure this is all just our fault too "Don't let your phone sleep! SIMPLE!" hahaha

It's back again! Sigh.... sent a detailed response to someone who contacted us and the message is gone. Facepalm

Just happened again tonight!! A long thought out intro message to a new member just vanished upon sending. It looks like we’re going to have to go back to the copy to clipboard habit before sending once again.

<p>Please go to "Tools" and "Privacy Features". Set "<strong>Hide me from Free Members'</strong> to 'No' and then logout and back into the site and try sending messages to see if that fixes the issue.</p>

I am only having trouble with one profile I tried to send a message too. I sent about four others no problems just one profile?

I'd believe that if the issue wasn't so intermittent.

Some days I have no problems - I can send messages that run up to the 2000 word limit to all the usual recipients. Some days I can send long messages to some recipients but not others. And some days every message, except the shortest, goes "poof" when sent.

At one point I thought including web links was causing the problem - but messages wouldn't send without the link either. But every once in a while a message with a link sends without problem.

I'm always using the same laptop when I access SLS - and I rarely make changes (although Windows updates might happen automatically).

Thankfully none of this is a matter of life or death - it's just socializing with far-flung friends. But it's frustrating.

<p>I understand that it is frustrating for the members that have the issue. It is also frustrating for us that we do not know why you are having the issue. I have sent hundreds of messages using the same system that you use and never lost a message. Other co-workers and developers have tested it and not lost any messages. I understand what happened with messages disappearing because of the spammer - but what about the OPs original complaint?

For no apparent reason messages sometimes just go "poof" when sent.

Sometimes I remember to copy before sending and have broken up a longer message into smaller pieces and the pieces all send just fine. Other times I make some changes and the message will send. And other times I've forgotten to copy and just have to try to recreate the message as best as my memory allows.

I have a handful of far-flung friends with Lifetime Memberships that I exchange messages with - and it's happened with all of them at various times over the past month or two. And it's very annoying.

Wayne we had two messages deleted between us and another profile. I saw them as sent, they saw them and replied to them but the next day, yesterday, they were gone. Is that what happened or?

<p>Over the last couple of days, someone used multiple profiles to spam the site with 1000s of messages. We deleted all of those. That may be the cause of what you have seen.</p>

Definitely have had 2 profiles and conversations disappear in the last 2 days. They were to 2 separate people. The whole conversation is gone and they don’t show up in the section with those who viewed me.

First time I thought I mistakenly erased a message, but not twice in 2 days. Please fix this!!

This is one of the most aggravating things next to the no notifications. I m La they made an app update recently, but still no push notifications for messages.

A message I sent this morning has disappeared ?

Had it happen a couple of times to me also a few days ago. Seems like every time they mess with something like they just did with the Sex Stories it crews up other areas.

It’s been a long time, but this glitch is showing up again. This weekend a couple let us know they were trying to connect for our hot date, but every sent message just vanished so they gave up and I can confirm that I’ve had several instances of sending message that just disappear into SLS limbo
