There actually is a way to see that. There's a small icon on every profile main page that looks like three envelopes. It's at the top right just above the profile photo. Click on it and you will see the email history with that person, both sides of it.
I wish there was a way to keep the messages to certain people within their profile on a continuous thread. Right now you can't see your running conversation. Its aggravating and it helps you to stay on conversation.

I am also experiencing the delayed personal email notification. This past week, I've been receiving sls email to my personal email several hours later and even on the following day, which most people tend to take as disinterest. I'm reporting the issue. Really hope this gets fixed asap.
Still happening.......Since Friday exchanges with two user couples (not ads or group messages):
--> Mail on SLS @ Friday 7:30pm. Did not hit our e-mail box until Saturday at 10:10pm
--> Mail on SLS @ Saturday 8am. Did not hit our e-mail box until Sunday at 4:30am
--> Mail on SLS @ Saturday 8:56am. Did not hit our e-mail box until Saturday at 12:49pm
--> Mail on SLS @ Saturday 10:01am. Still have not received e-mail notification
--> Mail on SLS @ Saturday 11:13am. Still have not received e-mail notification
I noticed this about a week ago. I guess only time will tell regarding whether or not it's a temporary glitch or a permanent fact of life.
Same issue as KellyJean: We're getting Mail notifications in our personal e-mail box the day after they were received in SLS.
When email notifications are being sent/copied to a personal email account they are now taking 10 - 22 hours to show up in the personal account. This is not a benefit if I cannot see that I have email in a timely fashion. Will this revert back to being more instantaneous?

I'm seeing the same problem. Plus, last night a cpl sent us an email and looking at the time-stamp, I see that it took all most an hour before we received it. The cpl probably thought we were being rude and not acknowledging their complementary message. WTF.
