We're members of a different lifestyle site that has a feature showing the date the message was delivered and the date when the message was opened. Additionally, there's an icon of a closed envelope and opened envelope as well as an envelope with a delete icon. It's a great feature to see if the recipient read the note or just deleted, not everyone is courteous enough to say no thank you
Just an FYI Wayne last couple weeks we have had several instances where we write messages and hit send .. only to find out nothing was sent so we redid the message including today.

<p>When you type your message and "send" it, you should then see it appear above where you typed it in the message text box. If you see it there, they have access to it and will see it. A text being marked as 'delivered' doesn't mean the other person actually paid attention to it and read it, so that is not a feature that serves much purpose anywhere. If you sent a nice response to someone and they have not responded after a few days, there is nothing wrong with you sending a polite follow-up. </p>
Is there a way to know a message has been delivered or read? I've gotten so few responses (positive or negative) that I’m wondering if my messages are being sent and received properly. I know texts can be marked “delivered”, so I’m hoping SLS can do something similar. I don’t want to pester those who aren’t interested by sending multiple messages, so I’m trying to figure out if the problem is me or the website.
