Is this a messaging glitch?

Messaging must be down ... noticed it's doing the same thing with every profile we go to and try to message

OK so here is a new one on us ... we are on somebody's profile, who we have never messaged before ... we go and hit the message button to message them. But instead of taking us to a new message screen, it simply takes us to our list of message threads. Tried it like a dozen times, same result from 2 different paid profiles. Anyone else have this happen?
