Hot Date Calendar

Most of the new rules SLS has are about blocking the users from listing any external communication methods in their profile or in the hot date posting, thus the need for the "review". This is primarily so free members really have no choice but to pay.

SF old days we would approve and post hot dates and changs to our own profiles instantly without approvals.. a much better system instead of now being "micromanaged" like children.. sort of like one in a classroom acting up and the entire class pays .

Also, your post is only as fast as your ISP to internet connection. ( Internet Service Provider) If there is a slow connection, then there will be additional delay in posting. You can have a super fast high speed cable connection, but if the bandwidth is slower during peak user time, then it can affect your posting timing.
SLS is subject to the speed of your ISP, so it may not be their issue... Just my tech geeky opinion.

Sometimes in a distributed server architecture, database replication takes a bit of time to happen. Thus the disclaimer.

For example, if you are on the east coast, and you have a web site that is nationwide, If you post something on a server on the east coast, there is a background replication process that duplicates your post on the west coast servers so they are all mirror images of each other. That take a a bit of time. You can see that effect on facebook or similar sites where you may not see posts that other see because they have not been replicated onto your servers yet.

Of course, depends on the architecture, so maybe SLS does not have it, and the delay is plain simple due to antiquated equipment.

I think you really need a technology rearchitecture if this is at the bottom of the page:

"Please note: Items on this calendar may take up to 5 minutes to appear."

Ask yourself if you'd be okay with your personal calendar taking 5 min to display items. I doubt you would be. That's just plain ridiculous.
