Gallery manager does not match whats showing

Mansfield, CT, Us

So tech supports answer is any photo uploaded to the public section will be public and show whether its in a gallery or not, assigned or not. Your only option is to delete. Period. Other questions are useless as it took them 3 days to come up with this for an answer. And they wonder why we get frustrated.

I don't know then. Ours is accurate. We have 4 and 6. We've never had an issue with our counts being off even when we had 100+.

Hopefully they figure it out!

cacpl_26- thank you for the thought we actually have 10 galleries and about 80 photos so its not a lack of understanding on how to create or assign photos to a galleries. Its a glitch in the system that your profile view of your galleries is not accurate.

As ronkathy noted the photo counts don't match. and sometimes the galleries showing is wrong as well it seems to add a default gallery in each category once that category is used. For us it was more disturbing that unassigned photos were still showing unless completely deleted and that the private category was showing like it was "public"

So you uploaded new photos your gallery. You're trying to assign a single photo to several personal galleries so you can share a single photo at a time? Every photo you upload to the site will be in a gallery. They go to a public, private or personal gallery. You need to assign the personal photos to galleries.

If this is the case: Tools > manage gallery > create gallery > gallery type > assign photo(s) > return to gallery home.

Repeat for however many galleries you want.

Our photo count is accurate. We have a total of 16 photos uploaded to the site. 4 are public, 6 are personal and 6 are unassigned. We have no private photos.

Hope this helps.

Than5 for the reply that7girl from our side we were seeing photos that were not even approved or assigned in the "profile view"

Were glad that the private is at least hidden from our side we could not tell

Even when we delete photos the photo count never matches.. and yes you have to give yourself permission to see 'your photos".. LOL

I see only 3 public pictures. Another public gallery is 'locked'. A lot of locked galleries in private and personal.

I gave up on trying to figure out how to "manage" the galleries. Just gave up on pics in general.

To address a message I got Privately on the question of the Private gallery showing like its Public.

I did not give myself permission under gallery manager to "see" the gallery in question. So its something else entirely.

So I already have an open ticket for this and we are moving into day 3 now.
To be clear I have written back and forth with support but the tech does not seem to understand. I'm curious if I am the only one to run into this.

I had gotten some new pics and wanted to update them so i uploaded and then "assigned" them using gallery manager page, and unassigned the ones I wanted to rotate out for now. But after doing this when I went to view profile it showed both the old and the new. I waited thinking well maybe the adding is quicker then the deleting from the server banks, 2 days later same thing. Checked mobile app shows the same. Hmm ok I contact tech support. Why does the manager not match the profile page galleries. They ignored my question and told me instead how to add pictures to my profile as though the 10 galleries I had must have just been there along. LOL yeah I think I know how to upload ect. I pointed that out and explained again. They again did not understand. The mobile app does not allow you to send a screen shot to tech support so I waited till I was home and attempted it there. In frustration I simply deleted the pictures entirely and then started from scratch. When I "deleted" a picture it did indeed delete it. But when I unassigned it it does not remove it.

Which brings me to the second instance but same issue. I decided since I was uploading I would build out a private gallery to have sharable pics that were private for messenger in case I want to share a pic rather than a whole gallery Anyhow I uploaded 6 pictures. Well they did the same thing. They show as in my gallery even though they are not assigned yet. From the profile page they show like they are in a gallery. From the picture manager they show as being unassigned. Scarier still my private gallery looks like it is public even though it should not be.

I'm at a loss and frustrated. I've not seen this issue before and though it may seem trivial its frustrating from 2 points. We like to update and rotate photos this makes it much harder.
Secondly we like to check our profile as though we are Joe public to see how we present. Its impossible to do, and scarier still if a gallery you intended to be private now is public.
