Yeah, I get that some don't like the feature. Personally I do, and it's a common feature on sites like this. Which is why I'm asking. But I'd also hope that for people like you who don't like it, you'd be able to disable that feature.

That makes sense calcan. That description of subscription is not a feature here.

I normally turn that feature off on any forums that do have it. Perhaps not if I wasn't a common user/visitor.

Nope. This site doesn't have the 2 functions you're asking about.

Maybe Wayne can get them on the list of suggestions members/users of the site would like to see implemented and management can consider them.

Yeah, I said "consider". And that's all I have to say about that.

Thanks, irishrose22. I should have been more clear. Yes, I see the subscribe option but I think the only 'notification' you get is a number of new replies highlighted in green when you visit the Forums main page. What I meant is a notice/email to your inbox telling you there's a new post to a thread you're subscribed to that includes a direct link to that thread. I don't think this site has that functunality, unless I've somehow missed it?

And yes, the quoting feature would be nice.

It changes to unsubscribe once you have made a reply.

Subscribe option is there. Top left area next to thread title.

Speaking of quoting a forum speaker, the quoting feature is also extremely common on other forums out there and would be another request here.

Nearly all forums out there allow you to subscribe to forum topics so you're notified when a new post is made, you're quoted, etc. Would be nice to have that option.
