The E-mail system seems to be working fine for us. Haven't experienced any delays.
SLS was created by Lifestyle people some years ago. Don't think they expected it to become a full time job as time went on & the emergence of other more interactive swing sites. We're fine with SLS & have met many longtime friends. Kinda like a local watering hole you are comfortable with & go for the people rather than all the bells & whistles :D
Unfortunately it's one of the more active communities we've found for our area. The others we've joined are either trashy or populated by folks who live too far away from us to be useful. The only one we've not made a decision on is Kasidie, but we're about to rule it out too. Lots of cross-population of members, but we get FAR more interaction here than we do there.
Functionality may make the decision for us in this case. While the community is active, and local, that doesn't mean shit if we can't communicate with potential playmates. Even if the interaction is lower elsewhere, at least we know it's happening and can participate.
I’ve been on this site for over 12 years and can tell you that the owners have no desire to improve it. They put bandaids in issues that create more issues and they just don’t care. They apparently are content to just let the money roll in and not spend a dime to upgrade or be responsive to their customers.
Most of us stay because of the friends we know here and to see updates on parties etc. It’s kinda like going to a run down club, you keep going back because there are fun people there, not because of the amenities of the facility.

A question is, the owners of the site must read all of these forum posts, why don’t they reply and let us know wtf is going on. I sent an email to management weeks ago about this, the answer was, we are aware and are looking into it,
This site just keeps getting worse
Ours have been at least 24 hours behind and more often longer.
We haven’t been getting notified AT ALL for the last week or so.
Good poinst. We are conscientious enough about prompt replies to emails that I now check several times a day on the website to see if we have anything that needs tending to, so that may be working in SLS’s favor: fewer people relying on relays means more ad views, which one would think would translate into increased revenue.
The conspiracy theorist in me wonders wonders if the delay isn’t related to a screening process related to HR 1865 (whatever it was). If our account disappears in the next 24 hours, you’ll know I was right lol
Ha, and that one couple told us it had to be our issue not SLS ... Wonder how many people got mad at another couple because of "no replies" and it was an email issue with SLS. (probably lots)
Just got one TWO days after it was sent.
From friends that we had not heard from for over one year.
Sent on a day we were going to a swing club.
Altho we had seen it here on SLS when sent I don't think that they got our reply to meet us.
They may not have gotten our reply YET from those two days ago!
same here, sometimes days after. Something broke recently.
Yep, SLS finds ways to break stuff that has worked for years
Here's a specific example, with the names changed to protect the not-so-innocent:
(New Couple) Sends 1st email at 8:30 pm on 8-9-18, received Gmail notification at 8:23 am on 8-10-18. They caught me online, so I reply almost immediately.
(New Couple) Sends reply email at 8:39 pm on 8-9-18, received Gmail notification at 6:32 am on 8-10-18. THAT'S ALMOST TWO HOURS BEFORE THE NOTIFICATION FOR THE FIRST EMAIL. (Caps for emphasis)
Something is screwy with the mail relay. It's not affecting any other site we're on, as we get almost real-time relays from Kasidie, SDC and others. I wish they'd fix it. We were at a local resort the other day and when the topic came up, nearly everyone chimed in with their frustration.

Same here. Hours, or even days. We even get them out of order, like we'll get the second email we've exchanged withe a couple before the first email they sent. It's nuts!
I think others have posted something similar, but I have been getting email notifications hours or even days after they have been sent on SLS. Would be nice if this can be addressed.
