Blocking Abusive Posters

<p>GoodVibes,</p>

<p>I thought I solved this for you in the ticket you sent me? Here is my last response to you that I sent on the 4th:</p>

<p>"<span style="color:rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family:tahoma; font-size:14.3px">You have to select either "Spam" or "Abusive". If you do not select one of those, it will give you that error. One of those options should be highlighted in blue. In your screenshot, none are highlighted."</span></p>

Wayne,

I have tried and tried to use the report to moderator with no success. I've cleared cache, cookies etc, tried multiple browsers, all with no success. You might recall back a while when beta testing the new chat room features that my profile was completely corrupted during one of those beta tests sessions. I had to recreate a new profile. Is there something that didn't clear on your end that would be the issue as to why I can’t use the report to moderator function?

I think it’s stupid that once they block you or you block them you lose your message history. We had abusive people and scammers messaging us. I went in to get screen grabs to report the scammer (soliciting PayPal party fee) and they obviously blocked us because we asked basic questions like who and where was the party. So upon block the chat disappeared and we had no proof to attach to the report. I hope other members aren’t falling for this and getting hosed for $30 or whatever the people are charging.

This issue is much larger than one forum.

The ability to block someone should be available to all people. Not just a subset of people.
The system is broken as is and needs to be fixed.

You should be able to go to anyone's profile, even those that don't want to see single guys, or single women for that matter and have the ability to block them. It should never be hidden based upon that users settings. That literally gives certain people complete control and the ability to say whatever with no repercussions.

And no, you shouldn't have to always "scroll by" abusive comments because you can't block the person. That's not fair to the members here.

“Wayne, take the Political Forum down.”

Don’t participate in them if you don’t like them.

You’re turning this thread into a political thread.

Jacksonville, FL, Us

Wayne, take the Political Forum down. It does not represent the true nature of the Swinger Lifestyle!

San Luis Obispo, CA, Us

Get a room you guys.

Irondequoit, NY, Us

Why? Is anyone holding a gum to your head to participate in the political forums?

If you don’t like the content of the political forums? There is a simple solution. Do not participate.

If you don’t have the ability to co tell yourself? Do not participate.

There is probably a problem when you have to delete o e profile you have and come back under a new alias.

Self awareness. Get some.

Wayne,

Please take down the Political Forum, thank you!

Irondequoit, NY, Us

Please demonstrate how I have proved your point?

Jacksonville, FL, Us

You prove my point

Take the Political Forums down Wayne.

Most of us will remain on the site, I suspect several in the Political Forums will quietly disappear off this site.

“Running to Wayne like you do claiming to be the victim while you perpetuate and flame the fires is unconscionable.”

Please quote any of my posts to Child that flamed any fire with the poster who attacked my sexuality.

I am all ears.

“How does this get resolved... Perhaps we've come to a point that would satisfy everyone. Management should think long and hard about shutting down the Political Forums, They have become a cesspool of vitriol and hatred, This website should be anything but those qualities. Shut them down!”

Says the guy who has posted 91% of his last 100 posts in the political forum.

“You are attempting to silence someone on the Poetical Forums who you don't agree with so you don't have to see their posts.”

As I have stated many, many times. Anyone can say whatever they like. But, when a line is crossed and it is no longer about political opinion And it becomes an attack on a posters sexuality or a personal attack. That is not correct.

You have to get over the differences between a salty response and an attack. Anyone can be as salty as they like. As long as it does not turn into an attack. If you feel that me responding about your reading comprehension or intelligence is an attack on you? Report me. See what management thinks. I cannot speak for them. But think you will get a response along the lines of you’re just as guilty of being salty.

I will debate anyone on difference of options. I have debated posters who I align up pretty close politically. I would rather have debate on differences than sitting around and agreeing with only those in an echo chamber. But if you need that reaffirmation in response to your posts. By all means block me.

"You are attempting to silence someone on the Poetical Forums..."

I believe in poetic justice so I never venture into the Poetical Forum.

Let's call this for what it is.

You are attempting to silence someone on the Poetical Forums who you don't agree with so you don't have to see their posts. I realize you can't help ignoring the posts and always feel compelled to respond, often times with snarky or abusive comments. Running to Wayne like you do claiming to be the victim while you perpetuate and flame the fires is unconscionable. You aren't as innocent as you want to project. To be fair, I don't claim innocent, but what you propose I disagree with. Pleas take the time to read the rest of this as to what I believe is in the best interest of this website with respect to the Political Forums.

Ii is very obvious that management fails to monitor the political forums, opting instead to take action when someone uses "Report to Moderator". In fact the Forum Help section states " "All initial postings of threads are moderated. Other content will be checked from time to time". I do not see where other content is being checked from time to time. Additionally, the rule themselves are subjective and subject to inconsistent application of restricting people's access. The punitive action of placing someone "Offline: is not limited to the place the alleged violation took place, That too is an inherent problem, Why restrict someone's account to most of the site and not to the Forum itself?

How does this get resolved... Perhaps we've come to a point that would satisfy everyone. Management should think long and hard about shutting down the Political Forums, They have become a cesspool of vitriol and hatred, This website should be anything but those qualities. Shut them down!

This has been a known issue for years and the site and it's admins do not give a shit about it. They clearly do not care.

Honestly I don't think the admins give 2 shits about anything the paying members of the site actually want.

Jacksonville, FL, Us

You’re free to say whatever you'd like, I know exactly why I was put in Offline Status!

And I thanked you for bringing civility to the Politcal Forums. I fully expect the powers to be will monitor the content more closely.

Irondequoit, NY, Us

“Since you chose this forum to justify your reporting folks. I was one of those who got put in "Offline" Status for several days. My post that the moderator stated as to the reason for their actions had nothing to do with anyone's sexual orientation as you claim.”

I have not “reported” anyone. I asked for someone to be blocked. Since he has single males blocked from his profile. I cannot block him myself.

As far as what you did? That’s between you, the moderator, and whoever reported you.

Jacksonville, FL, Us

"Big difference between attacking the ci tents of a post because of policies and agenda's than with attacks on sexual orientation. Big difference. "

Since you chose this forum to justify your reporting folks. I was one of those who got put in "Offline" Status for several days. My post that the moderator stated as to the reason for their actions had nothing to do with anyone's sexual orientation as you claim. Rather it is akin to what someone else on this thread said earlier.

"Not my fight but ain't this you?

"If you don’t have the skin to be in this type of room? Leave"

I will by all means abide by the rules of this site. I now hope the moderators will hold EVERYONE accountable to the same standards in the Political Forums!

Thank you for bringing to light the necessity of cleaning up the Political Forums as I am sure the moderators have the Political Forums on their radar now!

And dead horses to beat.

Yeah, I can't remember the profile name of the one in the Politics section, but a) I've heard it all before, and b) I've heard it all before in pretty much the same language. Might be that all trite political thought is like Tolstoy's happy families, might be a sock puppet account.
