It said free members could view 5 profiles per day and may be able to send up to 5 messages per day.

I KNOW what I saw and read. Paraphrasing: The TOS said free members can send up to 5 messages per day. No may, if and or buts. I even copied and pasted it in these forum pages.
Now that post is GONE.
Good job

I proof read all the new documents myself. I saw that paragraph. It said free members MAY be able to send messages, so it was accurate. No spelling or grammar errors and "may" means something can or cannot happen, so I didn't personally see an issue with it.

Updated??? It was barely 2 weeks old the TOS WITH free members able to send 5 emails per day. I guess no one read the then "new" TOS or the owners got wind of it and forced a change back to the old "OLD" TOS.
How very embarrassing.

As someone pointed out below, there was a section that said that free members may be able to send 5 messages per day. That is no longer the case, so that section was updated.

Well I guess free members get the shaft again (no pun intended) with the "NEW" TOS less than 2 weeks from the old "NEW" TOS. No more 5 free emails a day.
4.2.1. Free Members
You can apply to become a Free Member simply by completing Registration. Free Members have limited access to our Facilities. For example, Free Members do not have access to view the full text of messages sent by other Members or to communicate with any other Member.
So, I clicked "I Accept the Terms & Conditions" button and the banner went away for a couple of days.
Now it is back.
Did you change something again?
And just a suggestion...
If you want to make it easier for your membership to understand the changes, highlight them in some way. Underline, italics, bold, something...
Whatever else the new terms and conditions mean, I'm certain they change things in the owner's favor and are meant to make it easier for the owners to screw the members exactly the way they want to.
"Lifetime" members likely should look forward at some point to paiding for membership again. The owners give no assurance that is not an intent of the changes.
Sometimes i don't think COVID isn't working fast enough eliminating the human race. We have failed as human beings. Who wants their children growing up in this type of world? Who will be the final decision maker on what is acceptable rules and what isn't. Will they be considerate of you or won't they? Enough people didn't balk when they started their ignorant legalize so here we are
Actually, they changed "lifetime" to "unlimited" member in the new Ts & Cs. Did anyone notice that?
“ So does MAY mean DOES?”
In the world of legalese MAY always means DOES or WILL.
I saw in those docs:
"We may employ other companies to perform functions on our behalf, such as maintaining the Website"
So does MAY mean DOES?
"2.1.5 Email Addresses
You have the option of opting-in or opting-out of receiving e-mail notifications relating to our Site, including for example, notifications that you have received a message from another Member. "
I did that and it stopped working YEARS AGO!
You will then get demoted to "lifetime member"
What happens if we do not click on
"Accept the Terms and Conditions " ?
Can I still get on a Plane to travel ?
Are we allowed to go to a restuarant
and eat inside ?
What ever happened to NO means NO ?
