Hotdates and Event

One feature I was looking forward to it being rolled-out was the HOTDATES and EVENT and its been a great DISAPPOINTMENT now that it’s finally out. Upon landing on those pages, why is it showing me HOTDATES and EVENTS 100s -1000s of miles away from in TX, NV, CT when I’m in NY. In order to see hotdates nearer to me I have put in my zip code instead of it using my default zip code or location. The random starting point and the entering of zip code makes the navigation of these features counter productive and takes away from the user experience. Not all the features and ideas of the legacy site is bad, could have improved on the old HOTDATE feature by maintaining the same layout and presentation, making it infinite scroll to avoid expanding the view (less work for users) adding filter to sieve out certified and non certified profiles.
So far, the excitement and fanfare about a new and modern site has been a let down. Please fix it and make it intuitive for users and start with the basics before jumping to introduce some new and I demand features.
