Changing Username
"Or how about people like us who changed our name because of a persistent stalker getting around a block?"
It wasn't us.
Keep that in mind when we move to AZ with our username good enough for any state.
;-)
LOL we certainly will
:D
Been in forums that allow changing usernames. Only the ones who play around messing with peeps want to change their name and profile.
Or how about people like us who changed our name because of a persistent stalker getting around a block?
"Play around messing with peeps" as you put it certainly is not something we've ever done and I'm sure plenty of others who have had to change their profile name would agree. What about those who , as Goodenuff said, just want to "rebrand" to a name that better reflects who they are? Or let me toss a third possibility... Years before I met my wife, my ex-girlfriend and I had a lifetime membership on here as a couple. When we split, I did the right thing and created a single male account and had the site admin transfer over my membership. I could have taken the easy route some guys do in such a scenario, keep the couples profile, and pretend to be something I was not.
You're blanket statement is typical of someone who clearly is either misinformed, or does not think before they speak (or type). But just so you can have some perspective... changing a profile name on this site is not an easy undertaking. First, you have to create a brand new account. Then, it requires direct involvement by the admin to transfer over the paid membership to the new profile. In the process, you lose all of your notes, all of your chat history, and all of your contacts. Then you've got to wait through the process of uploading all of your pics. We lost seven years worth of notes, conversation history, and contacts by having to change our profile so believe me when I tell you, it's not something we took lightly and it seems like a lot of effort just to play games.
Now, despite this, I'm sure it's possible some people would go though all of that hassle just to mess with others so I can't say you are totally wrong either. However, next time you might want to stop to consider that things are rarely so black and white.

Just sayin'.
Our alias is going to be sls_WayneC's_burner_phone ;)
LOL. Ours is going to be "we_want_to_meet_calcanfun2" ;)
Our alias is going to be sls_WayneC's_burner_phone ;)

There used to be a profile called ( I believe) "Viciouspooperjammer"...
I'm imagining him using the alias of "Tender Lover"
You can message Admin and submit a request. There is some concern I think about the ability to change your username along with your underwear with days of the week on them. There's a reason that none of SLS's competing sites allow that freedom, either.
I know this has been discussed before. I think what the site would do is transfer your membership status to a new profile and delete the old one completely.
I believe your certifications, notes and messages would not transfer but I'm not sure about the content, including the pictures, would transfer.

so nice, we have evolved and feel a new profile would better reflect our evolution. not sure how to go about doing that on here??
It would be nice if you could easily change your username.
