Our favorite place to dance is Willamettans, so we can dance naked! Right now only members are allowed on the grounds, but the bar can't be open. We can't even be in there for non-club use due to OLCC regulations.
So we're going to invite friends to our place and dance naked in our living room for new years.

Personally, have not played with anyone who is not a well known past acquaintance.

Young2Ginger. EXACTLY!! This is taking everyone and everything down. Two days ago i saw the news of a poor child learing via skype or whatever. The teacher was talking to the little girl and watched a man enter the room and touch her. Sometimes work, school, church, etc are society's safety net. I believe we are going to suffer a major economic crash...soon

Yeaokay, some of the saddest are the ones getting depressed (and all the other things that go with it) because they aren't allowed to work to take care of their families. Suicide, child abuse, prescription overdose... I guess those people aren't as important as the few who might get sick. It's extremely frustrating to be told I'm selfish for taking care of my mental health. If I'm not in a good state of mind, then I'M needing to be cared for.
Ugh. It's too much regulation, and the Constitution is being ravaged by people who are censoring doctors who are more realistic about the whole situation.

Zero to minimal drama in Alabama. Bars, restaurants open with silly rules enforced. I saw
people wearing masks at a Chinese restaurant taking their masks down to take a bite of food, then slide it back up. Free entertainment
The few ( relative to smoking, heart disease, drunk driving, abortion) deaths are from folks with serious underlying medical conditions.

Things are definitely picking back up! As drs and researchers are finding how NOT deadly it is turning out to be, a lot of peppke are relaxing. My country is ranked "high risk" with less than 1/3 of 1% of our population currently positive. Many businesses were shut down again, but "allowed" to own at 1/4 capacity( Bleh!)
The only covid deaths around here are business, drug overdoses and suicides, which were the result of the restrictions, NOT the virus.

Regardless of how one thinks about the danger/non-danger of the virus, one thing to keep in mind is that a lot of places where people do vanilla meetups to judge compatibility like your local bar, restaurant etc are closed down or operating at reduced capacity. I suspect that the ripple effect isn't insignificant.

Depends on your local conditions, of course. Some areas are more locked down than others.

We've had a few couple to couple playdates with existing friends. We're avoiding clubs, house parties & other lifestyle events. We're only meeting new couples socially the 1st time.

MNJFLA: I've seen that in a couple profiles, or something similar anyway. But when I see profiles of formerly active folks who haven't been online here in months, it makes me wonder.
Lots of people are worried, or scared, it don't care, or don't feel a threat.

Regardless of which category someone falls into, it's at LEAST a courtesy to say they aren't playing if they aren't playing!

My view as of now if couples are afraid to play, they should state that up front in their profile, until which time they actually will play. Do not waste our valuable time " bull shitting. " Some of us are actually here to play and can play safely. Again please dont waste our time by having us look at your photos, read your profile, and take the time to type out a nice letter of interest only to be turned down. Again as a common courtesy you should post in your tag line " not playing at this time." What is everyone else's. Opinion.?????

We're in a group that plays together, but weren't actually IN it until covid scared most of the players, so haven't actually played yet. The group is located in a nudist resort (some live there, others have vacation homes there) we frequent, and we have a date for our next visit, but think they're all about ready to just say, "Screw it. And us!"

It sure slowed down March and April. Appears to be picking up now
However, I read that swing clubs in my vicinity are operating at 1/4 of normal capacity and I can't remember when there was a private house party last
