Chat rooms

Really enjoyed the "Create your own room" back when they offered it here in Chat! Now that the State rooms are gone consider allowing it again?

MNJFLA - I don't think that chat was ever meant to be to find people to play with. I think what you said and an earlier post about it being a jerk off tool are why it exists. While you and I don't see much value in it, apparently enough do to warrant it's existance.

The ideal for us would be a site dedicated to only people that want to meet and play in person. Since it takes money and a lot of time vetting for such a site, it is nothing more than wishful thinking.

We make up for this by having our own parties that are by invitation only and limited to people that are social and come to a party to play. SLS is just a tool bag of tools that aided in accomplishing that, but obviously chat is not one of those tools ;-)

I personally find the chat room a total waste of time as far as meeting anyone new. Most of the chat is useless banter and "talking shit." There have been a few time s however that people have actually held a serious conversation with me, although this is rare.

It's not new technology, though. It's actually one of the older technologies on the interwebs.

I am not a fan of the new chat room. It’s too fast and too hard to carry on a conversation. You should have kept the old format and worked on it.

Whatever happened to many of the old room titles? It would be nice to have a default room also established for Seniors or 60+

MNJFLA - I've not had any success with the chat rooms, but like you, made the same observations. Perhaps if I spent more time in them I'd "get it"", but most times it's just inane banter that I have no interest in.

For that matter, I really don't come to the forums to find people to play with. I like the exchange of ideas where I sometimes get to learn things, or share experiences that may help others,

The big value (for me) witth SLS was in knowing where/when local parties were, but that's not even a thing for us right now. Luckily we have enough local LS friends to keep us busy and still meet a nice couple here via messaging on occaision. If I wasn't lifetime member, I'd likely not find enough value to make it a monthy bill right now.

For me I have chatted with a few people there. What I see is mostly stupid banter and ignorance. No one talks very intelligent, nor carries on any type of intelligent conversation. I go there when I get board and have nothing better to do. There seems to be no easy way to meet lifestyle people that are here to be serious, and willing to meet, and play. I miss some of the creative rooms....yet some of the tittles got out of hand. I use to like starting ones that always included a couple...'Couples that like DP", "Couples that like Fucklicking", Couples for Couples", "2 couples 1 bed". I use to get a lot of responses from couples and not just single guys. All the other room descriptions leave it open for single guys to be part of it which a lot of them just scare off the couples.

The chat room topics are good and are a good way to meet. An improvement would be allowing creation of new rooms by users; used to have it months back and it was a success from our end.
