Def a waste of time on both ends when you could be providing details about yourselves instead.

@One - That was some critical thinking right there ;-) Even when I was a kid I was given reason to question pretty much everything. It's even truer today and many times you have to rely on multiple sources to find the source of truth in anything, and even that's no guarantee.

In this case, a little common sense can go a long way. First you'd have to wonder why anyone would single you out for any sort of research on a site of this size. Then you'd have to ask if going public to attempt to prosecute would be worth it, both monetarily and to ones reputation. Pretty sure that if you go back and read the Ts & Cs that SLS owns any content you post here as well.

Well for what it is worth I got this off Google

The University of Sydney is an Australian public research university in Sydney, Australia.

We absolutely DO think less of people who post it. It's been the deciding factor so many times, I rarely (if ever) even bother the Mrs. when someone with that in their profile approaches us.

Why fight that urge?

I'm not being mean, but a basic level of critical thinking is important, even if it is only sex.

The cut-and-paste privacy notices at the bottom of profiles ate cringe-worthy. It’s based on a hoax (started as a social media experiment to see how gullible “followers” could be a couple of decades ago). It has no legal weight, for obvious reasons. And there isn’t even an institution called Sydney University. We have to fight the urge to think less of people who post it.
