Swinging During Covid

Living in Florida throughout this pandemic has had little to no change in my approach to the lifestyle. I am fully vaxed and the only time I wore a mask was because it was mandatory (airlines, federal building etc) or in crowed areas were a lot of people were all gathered in close proximity. I take a mixture of Zinc, Vitamin D, and garlic on a daily basis, work out, stay in shape and generally take care of myself.

My lifestyle approach slowed initially due to COVID but after a 6 month slowdown it was back and better!

You can lock yourself away and deny yourself to live, or live and enjoy life, the choice to be shackled or not is yours!

Whoever that "shots are killing people" post came from must be someone I blocked, and obviously for good reason. I recommend others do the same. I don't need to see posts like that to know there are people out there that believe that nonsense, and honestly, I can't see any good coming from interacting with them in the forums. If anything, it will depress you by reminding you that there are people out there that are so out of touch with reality.

We just got our 2nd booster yesterday, but mainly because we're getting ready to do international travel and spending a small fortune on a vacation that we want to have every opportunity possible to enjoy. We have a LS party Sat, and that will probably be our last play time until we're on our cruise.

Shots killing people. Where did that come from? Everyone I know including myself and my wife who had 4 each are still breathing.

Hate to break it to you, Most all deaths and so called infections are caused by the shots, and that's fact. Now R and K say they are fully shot and boosted. but they did say they are on a very good vitamin program, and that alone can defeat the bad stuff from the shots.

We stopped attending parties for about a year. WE had all our shots, we were very cautious. My wife's young virile doctor died from covid. He would not take the shots. Another friend died from covid did not take any shots. A few more people we know did not take th shots, would not ware a mask and POOF they died....

Boy that was easy.. pass the popcorn folks!

mayhem- this you may have noticed we my first- and last- posting. In no way did I attempt to foster "hysteria" nor try and tell anyone else what to do nor how to do it. I have contracted Covid, am quite sick, and wish I hadn't....proof positive that it does indeed still exist. Granted I eat like a pig, don't take any precaution, do my best to get into compromising situations, and spend way too much time "hiding in my basement with my mask"....geez....

I will say that Covid is not the news story it once was, which is (giving them benefit of the doubt) perhaps what bfwp4u was commenting about. Then again, when you see terms like "fear porn", I'm probably being too generous ;-)

But for "us" we will stay healthy, work out, plenty of extra vitamins , eating right , pre and pro biotics..

NOPE its not gone or will it ever be.. but some are NOT afraid to get out and live our life..and we have done so the entire time.. both traveling, playing and running a sports league.. Even our DRs who worked in an ER are congratulating us on what we do.. and our blood workups proves what we do daily.. 14-16 vitamin etc regime.. works!

No ones making it out alive.. so stay health people.. but we are not going down the hysteria road again with one sided info and YES one worked in a major ATL hospital seeing death and those who died form many other things listed as COVID.. ., and YES we are fully vaxed boosted and re boosted but sorry we are healthy doing what we do.. so stop being so angry and you do your thing!

By the way.. and this from those who have worked in a hospital and USA borders.. keep bringing the millions into our country who dont have vaccinations from 3rd world countries.. and YES we are just in the initial phase of all this new found disease.. thats a fact ! Buckle Up!

WRONG! Covid is not, repeat- NOT OVER! Wiping the sweat from my forehead as this is being typed, feeling like a truck ran me over. Luckily full vaccinated and boosted so hopefully will not require hospital care. To believe the misinformation being spread that Covid infection is no longer an issue is dangerous to say the least, imbecilic in reality. Do the research people- severe infections and deaths are still on the rise!

ICYMI, COVID is over... the latest fear porn is Putin/Ukraine/supply chain problems/inflation. Everybody in the hot tub! LMAO

We haven't stopped playing, but we've backed down from large gatherings with the new case #'s peaking pretty much all across the US. We can have just as much fun with 2 or 3 other close couples as we can with a dozen or more. Hopefully by the end of Feb things will be back to the usual (Abby)normal.

We never stopped playing and still play without condoms. We play with a handful of good friends, none of us have taken the shots and are all fine.

To expand on “DTH” comment/question, you are MUCH safer covid-wise playing with one who is vaxed than one who is not if you’re not vaxed. If you are, it doesn’t matter! If anyone really even cares anymore. The Pandemic is over—it’s evolved into a “cold” just like it’s supposed to do. The only reason it’s still in the news is because 1) they don’t want as focusing on our idiot of a president and 2) ‘delta’ was on its way out so they had to find a new “bogeyman” to continue their fear and control tactics. It seems you’re confusing anti-vaxers with those who are anti-mandate. You appear to be the later who has a beef with the former, though hard to say as your words are few. “Vax and chill” should be the new order of the day. You don’t want to get vaxed? Don’t! You want to wear a “face diaper”? Go ahead! Fine! Great! Just don’t ask those of us who CHOSE to protect ourselves, to protect you as well. Not our job! Make your choices and live with them…or not. Not our problem. Do we WANT you to die from (NOT with) Covid? No…we just no longer care. Everyone on the planet (almost) now has access to the vaccines that protects lives. Vaccines have worked for over 100 years…and they still work now. If you CHOOSE not to get vaccinated, just know that you’re one of the “at risk” because of YOUR CHOICE.

To answer the original OP, we really never stopped playing…only for about a month. In that month, we watched “Lord Fauci” change his tune no less than three times. That PROVED to us that he is an idiot (we both have advanced science degrees and were/are saddened by our supposed leaders). So we just chose to live our lives. Still alive…and never sick. We don’t really care if others are vaxed or not, because we are. Once you understand how vaccines actually work, you’ll likely adopt the “Vax and Chill” attitude, too. The REAL problem confronting this country is science literacy (Mr Mickey it’s a prime example). The ignorance is appalling and, in my/our opinion, is at the root of the lemming-mentality we’ve witnessed for the last year and a half. “Just do what we say and do not THINK about it” is the governments’ rallying cry. And don’t you dare say ANYTHING that conflicts with their “approved narrative” unless you want them (Fauci, CDC, Biden, WHO) to end your career because you’re “poisoning their minds with misinformation”…a term conveniently coined to quash even the most logical and truthful of statements from the most prominent of REAL scientists, NOT political scientists! The REAL science is inconvenient; it’s not the governments’ truth.

We're at the point where we can get the booster and actually plan on doing that today. We have been pretty much living life fully and plan to continue doing the same.

Getting the vaccine/booster is not synonomous with "hunkering down in fear", as some would imply. In fact, people getting vaccinated are probably less likely to adjust their actions much due to worry about a severe Covid outcome now. A large part of our returniing to a more normal life in all aspects is a result of the vaccine.

We also have had the initial shots and recently a booster along with a flu shot. We work out, eat healthy most of the time and are not going to let anything stop us from enjoying our lives.

It goes without reason, if you don't get the jab(s) you are at a much higher rate of infections than those of us who did, or those that have had the virus and survived. As for my feelings on this... You be you and I will be me.

I am fully vaccinated and did so early on. I didn't need the government to sweeten the the deal by offering me cash or instilling fear in me to get it done. I chose to be vaccinated and get the booster as a matter of common sense.

Really thats way old news .... The shots have been given months ago. We know a few people however that refused to get the shots and died. That included a very healthy doctor. We got them got sick from them but we are still alive. Always good to hear from others and share information. Be safe yes but do not hibernate to avoid people....lol
