Wonder if HPV is down due to swinging being down from covid. Supposedly, the body fights off HPV infections within 6-12 months. IF a majority of swingers have been on the sidelines for 13 months, might that suppress HPV? Or has everyone been boinking despite covid?
Not sure how old you mean by older but we both received 2 doses of the latest vaccine last summer 36 &40. Insurance actually covered both. We were questioned why we wanted it and stated the truth. A doctor friend of ours (in lifestyle) recommended we get it and that there is some data suggesting benefits even if there had been previous exposure. Sad thing was the drs didn’t even know it was approved for us and told us we were to old. They were very surprised we were right.
We’ve had a few female friends suffer adverse consequences from HPV. Most appear to be condom wearers when we’ve seen them in action. Have any older swingers received the HPV vaccine? I’ve heard it’s discouraged under the story that if you are active sexually, you have already been exposed.

In a nutshell, there are a SHITLOAD of different strains of HPV. There are ONLY A FEW though that have been tied to certain cancers. Off the top of my head, I think it was less than 5 strains. The shots that were mentioned are there to protect against those strains. They do not protect against the other strains and the reason is that the other strains don't have an impact. They are just there.
So if you are concerned that HPV is prevalent, it is. The swinger world is no different than the real world. It is everywhere.
Do condoms and dental dams have an impact? Debatable and if so, negligible.

Starting to read up on it but honestly not sure what to make of it. Seems very little is definitive but apparently clearly common with most sexually active adults, including monogamous, and more so in swinger circles. Actually read it is as common as the common cold...wow! Being new, curious if hpv is generally accepted among those active in the lifestyle? Any and all insight is welcome. Thanks

Not all vaccines but way to many are administered in USA . For us , we try and watch what we do, use condoms with anyone we don't know and look closely at those we do know and they have to be in our circle for years.. also careful of who we play with.. I know you cant tell from ones looks but it works for us.. and clean after every encounter with our bidet etc. We do use safety precautions and swingers for 20 plus years.. Do we know those who have caught herpes and HIV.. yes and in vanilla world who were not swingers too . So yes its a personnel choice but to say a "no brainer".. just not buying into big Pharma and yes we have seen what they have done to dozens with pain pumps too.. personally with family court cases. Its all about the money and big Pharma . Anyone can sign up for info on facts ref vaccines under National Vaccine Information Center. Just another FYI, so few know about the vaccine court that keeps one in court for years but pays out and drug makers are not held to pay . But citizens in USA pay the huge amounts settled. After a long 8-year legal battle with the government-run vaccine court, the U.S. Government has just conceded that the Gardasil vaccine killed 21 year old Christina Richelle Tarsell.
The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, a special “Vaccine Court” set up in 1988 as part of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 which gave legal immunity to pharmaceutical companies for injuries and deaths due to vaccines, will compensate the family of Christina from funds collected from taxes on vaccines sold, and the company who produces Gardasil, Merck, will suffer no consequences as a result.

This is literally a vaccine against cancers - of the cervix, vagina, throat, anus and penis.

Yes, the prevalence of HPV is high and widespread. That said, some people may dismiss that as a reason "not to worry," however, there are many different strains of it, some of which are far more likely to develop into cervical, oral, or rectal cancer so minimizing risk is still worth it. The comment about the full body condom while surely reflecting a total protective should not discourage people from thinking about protection. In fact, as I understand, the full body condom idea is more relevant to risk of exposure to Herpes (HSV-1 and HSV-2) not as much HPV. With condom use pretty high for vaginal and anal sex, the greatest risks for exposure to HPV is oral sex without barriers. And it seems it's the practice no one much wants to discuss yet HPV is much more easily transmissible, generally speaking, than HIV is.

I am reading more and more lately about how prevalent the HPV (not talking HIV!!!!) is now, and how easily it is spread simply by any kind of sexual contact, even foreplay.
From that, it almost seems that unless each person is wearing a full-body condom from the moment that you walk in the door, you/we are at significant risk.
