Shootings

@2, “The writers of the bill fucked it up and added in some bullshit that will not likely pass the senate. (Of course then it will be the Republicans fault so you'll be able to continue to point your finger)”

Well who’s adding the “bullshit”? Is it a Democrat? Is it a Republican? Is it both? What exactly is the bullshit?

IMHO, the 21 y/o thing is total bullshit anyway. They’re crafting legislation based off of the two most recent horrific mass shooting.

“So you are admitting it is irrelevant, thanks for the clarification.“

ABSOLUTELY NOT !!

Should anyone in America be able to own a tank? A rocket launcher? Where do we draw the line? Can we have special licensing for certain guns? Raise the age limit on AR type guns?

That line was drawn long ago. Plus you already need special licenses for certain guns.

Additionally, they are currently trying to pass the 21 law but as usual. The writers of the bill fucked it up and added in some bullshit that will not likely pass the senate. (Of course then it will be the Republicans fault so you'll be able to continue to point your finger)

"I’m just wondering how a common factor turned into a major cause ?"

So you are admitting it is irrelevant, thanks for the clarification.

"So what in your OPINION is the root issue."

In my opinion, the gun and the shooter go hand in hand, no pun intended.

Yes, the shooter is always responsible for his actions but as we have seen in the past when there is a limit on what weapons are available to said shooter, deaths decline. Should anyone in America be able to own a tank? A rocket launcher? Where do we draw the line? Can we have special licensing for certain guns? Raise the age limit on AR type guns? Require training, licensing and registration of these deadlier weapons?

Can we at least agree that not everyone should have access to the deadliest weapons available?

I’m just wondering how a common factor turned into a major cause ?

I think that’s called spinning and deflecting !

Danbury, CT, Us

“But just to humor b&c, if you really believe kids raised without a father figure are a major cause of mass shootings, shall we ban the sale of weapons to any kid raised in a home without a dad present?“

Where did I say it was a major cause ? In your libtard head ?

@ro, you were talking with us, 2out and b&c, all couples. So you wanna feel superior cause you're a real swinger..... Got it.

Montpelier, OH, Us

The point was to prove, once again, that all of the other conversations about lacking a father figure, mental health and video games are all deflection and don't get to the root issue.

So what in your OPINION is the root issue.

My opinion is that the root issue is the shooter.

we have been here along time, met more fakes than i care to admit...oh my wife got a headache is most common excuse... single guys seem they always have a roommate most common excuse 40's, 50's even 60's

Summerville, SC, Us

@ro, "" flip....but it is the truth...most here are not swingers"" how'd those last 2 posts make ya feel? Superior? Better? How did you decide we weren't swingers?

New Orleans, LA, Us

At least 2out got what I was trying to say.

b&c made a stupid "I saw an interview where some guy said..." so I riffed off of that to state what I thought was the most OBVIOUS thing anyone can say in an interview and it went right over his and cuck-tuck's head. LMAO

Yes, water is wet. Yes, guns are involved in shootings. The point was to prove, once again, that all of the other conversations about lacking a father figure, mental health and video games are all deflection and don't get to the root issue.

But just to humor b&c, if you really believe kids raised without a father figure are a major cause of mass shootings, shall we ban the sale of weapons to any kid raised in a home without a dad present?

8 inch i agree with what you said,

We already have over 300 thousand laws in the United States that deal specifically with firearms.
So i would say either gun laws don't mean anything or people who commit a crime don't get prosecuted for committing a crime with a gun.
I live in Philly, there used to be a law if you committed a crime with a gun it was an automatic 5 years in jail so gun violence went down.
They done away with that law and gun violence went up. so right now Philly has the most killing in it's history. Don't really know the answer,
that's above my pay grade. But until people are held accountable either by using a gun or a hammer or drunk driving or whatever Nothing is ever going to change.

nice one flip....but it is the truth...most here are not swingers

Serious question, do other countries have better DA's and do they uphold the law is better than we do here?

Looks like the narrative here...its okay the killings continue.....planes, trains automobiles a republican only country has been suggested...so the consensus is do nothing...guns at swinger parties? Since most here are not swingers you will never know

"I cant believe some people, everything is a narrative"

Everything that you mentioned other than guns were designed for other purposes

Nobody bought an airplane, car or hammer for CC or home protection. Guns we're designed to kill ppl and animals. Your comparison between guns and other items to ban doesn't hold water.

Please tell us why Europe doesn't have the high rate of gun violence? How do they survive and protect themselves without everyone feeling the need to access guns?

"The common factor in ALL of these DUI's is ALCOHOL"

Drugs in your system will give you a DUI as well.

Exactly Arch.. and YES investigating, prosecuting and testifying in homicides well over 30 years in Dade County FL.. its a FACT!

I cant believe some people, everything is a narrative, yes you need a gun to shoot someone DA ! But there is a difference between being a responsible gun owner and some crazy ass who falls through the cracks and gets a gun. Most people who are shot or killed are with a stolen gun. But using your logic do we ban hammers because people are killed with hammers. Do we ban flying because people die in plane crashes, do we ban cars or trucks because people are killed in crashes. Its the person holding the gun, its the person holding the hammer, it's the person holding the knife, its the person behind the wheel. most airline crashes are blamed on pilot error

Here's a homework assignment for scamp.

Find me one shooting that didn't involve a shooter.

Just one.

Montpelier, OH, Us

the common factor in ALL of these shootings is GUNS."

Well gee... that is quite the profound statement.

The common factor in ALL of these DUI's is ALCOHOL.

Danbury, CT, Us

“Please show me one shooting that didn't involve a gun.”

Now let’s see what I said and see if you get it .

If I remember correctly I said something to the effect of “One think in common with all these SHOOTINGS is missing a father figure”

Did you think I was talking about spit balls in a straw when I said SHOOTINGS ?
