Dems actually won 1 of the 2 counties in the district, had they chosen a Black community leader without a criminal past they would have taken Cobb as well. They just did not trust a candidate from Georgia because they buy into all the same stupid stereo types that you do Sar. You have obviously never been to that part of the country, it will give NY, LA, SF, almost any other major metropolitan area a run for its money in terms of anything you could say......except the willingness to be led by dumbasses from Hollywood and fruitcakes in Washington.

My kid lives in that district. I can tell you from frequent visits and interactions with the folks in the area, that the reason Ossof lost is that he was 1. Not from there, 2. Talked condescendingly about those on the low end of the pay scale,3. Was supported by people with "no skin in the game" as far THAT district is concerned. An outsider with lots of support and propaganda from people who had never even heard of district 6 before the race just turned people off. Handel was at best a shaky and shady candidate, lots of negatives in her past. The Dems missed here by not finding a qualified, active and liked member of the community to run against her. There are plenty. Many of the school teachers and school administrators are very pro democrat. Many of them would have been just fine as a candidate. However Washington Dems and Hollywood decided that a film maker from outside would be better for the poor uneducated Georgians than someone they know and have heard of . You are right, stupid is as stupid does, and stupid did. Now they can watch from their minority positions.....again.

Conclusion One: Demographic did not change and most are stone heads. As I said before I was willing to vote Republican if John Huntsman was running or even Romney. the difference between Dems and republican is that we vote for what is good for the country..republicans vote for the party to win.

Conclusion two: republicans celebrate victory in that district since Ossoff gave them the scare. Republicans were worrying ...that is a good thing...get used to it.

At 0-4, It looks like the Democrats haven't learned a damn thing. There's virtually no way they can take the Senate, and almost no way to take the House.

The Republican spin is that despite a bazillion dollars spent by rich Hollywood elites, Handel won.

The Democrats will spin it as Price won the seat by 23 points, and Ossoff almost got there.

I think it might have had more to do with Ossoff not living in the district, or looking like he was 12. But I am sure the Hollywood elite meme got some traction.

The Democrats don't have a message that appeals to middle America. They only resonate with the people who are looking for government handouts and the rich who feel guilty for their success

I'm fully aware that Republican "true believers" paint Democrats the same way, as either helpless losers dependent on the welfare state or rich elitist snobs, depending on what works for their situation.

But I'm speaking here of this situation - an educated district, and turnout was 59% - quite high for a special election.

A living wage? how communist of you. so a pot smoking high school dropout flipping burgers should make as much money as a hard working high school graduate who is a mechanic or on the factory floor?

Or maybe as much as a person trained as a nurse or dental assistant?

Why should any high school kid bother to pass a class and learn anything or even get skills necessary to hold a job if they are guaranteed a living wage for just being alive?

Across the Nation, yesterday, Trump got a huge pat on the back for doing good work despite a negative media, and a totally obstructive Democrat Congress. A living wage is a wage which is based upon the cost of living in an area, rather than an arbitrary minimum. Under an ideal living wage, someone who works an ordinary 40 hour per week job would be able to afford shelter, food, health care, and other basic necessities of life. - So in Georgia you will not get it..stupid is as stupid does..fact.

All over the liberal media yesterday the talking heads said the Georgia election was a referendum on Trump. They were right. Trump won.

Dems and Hollywood elite threw tons of money into the special election in the 6th district and lost. This was gonna be their bell cow win to show how dissatisfied the country is with trump. So what happened? They will be sending another person to D.C. That is in lock step with trumps agenda. Sorry Sar.
