“you didn't have the crowd they were speaking to jump up and riot”

You do know that the Capitol was stormed before Trump was finished with his speech.
And the park is over a half mile from where the Capitol is , or did fake news forget to tell you that .

@clyde, that was cut and pasted directly from a transcript of Trump's speech to the crowd on Jan 6, no editing. You can go look it up yourself, it's to do this research since it's everywhere. As I said, those were the parting statements, just before he told them to go to Capitol Hill. Look it up yourself, I always encourage people to do their own independent research since it's the best way to establish facts. Too many fraudsters peddling misinformation these days.

I saw the video of the Democrats using the word "fight", and the REALLY big difference there is that after those speeches, you didn't have the crowd they were speaking to jump up and riot. That's because they hadn't been riling them up for months and months via tweet and rallies, constantly telling them to fight again and again and again, as Trump did. The crowd on Jan 6 was there spoiling for a fight, and at the speech Trump lit the fuse.

BTW, whether or not Trump "incited" the crowd, there's a whole other discussion about whether he did anything to prevent the rioting after he knew it had started and in a bad way. I think there's overwhelming evidence that he knowingly allowed the mob to run amok for several hours, and that's probably the crux of why they want to call witnesses in the ongoing impeachment trial.

It is true people from northern states have a culture shock with the south. But the south is very diverse.
You can look at the bigger cities and they are lots like the north or California . This is because they have a lot of Democrat mayors. A friend lives in Mississippi , between Birmingham and NOLA . Now you could say nowhere but they have been there 3 years now and love it . We live in a county. 60 miles north of Houston
28,000 people . Down the road from me Chuck Norris lives , he has a large game ranch. Ask him about California and he just smiles and shakes his head. He never says much about anything , but contributes to the community. Everybody seems to be moving to the country right now .

Why did California vote down affirmative action this last election. ??????? The Latin Americans had the best answer .....Its just a bunch of nonsense. ..... Asian Americans said we study hard then get bumped when we want to go to a particular college. Both are minorities.

Funfor2houston.......exactly. Birmingham is not perfect but you don't see homeless people everywhere and drug addicts walking around shitty in the streets. 2 of our daughters spent 2 weeks in California. They mostly stayed in Sacramento. They went over to San Francisco for 2 days. First thing they said about San Francisco was how many homeless people they saw and people who looked and acted drugged up. Didn't care much for San Francisco but did enjoy Sacramento and Lake Tahoe.

Sn your editing ! Typical of a libtard. I know what I saw and heard , did you happen to see the 15 minutes of democrats using the word FIGHT ?

Richards, TX

@JC , I would feel safer in Birmingham then San Francisco. .

Sapp.......sure is funny how you constantly bring up elected officials in the South constantly and accuse them of being racist. Yet you don't see the racial uproar here like you do In the big Democratic controlled cities. You know nothing about the South except old history. People have learned and moved forward. Problem is leftwing dingbats like you from California can't let it go. Worry about your issues in your area because you don't have a clue about anything here

Sapp.....you got bamboozled. Lol

Such a rough week for the libs. Nothing has gone your way and you are having a fit.

@clyde, I'm going to bite, here's some of the closing words from Trump's speech on Jan 6:

"And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore."

Direct quote from Trump's speech, and it was the parting words he gave them before telling them to move on to the Capitol. But anyway, I don't think that's the best way to judge whether Trump incited the crowd. I think you ask the people there what they heard Trump say. The vast majority, when asked why they stormed the Capitol, said Trump told them to. So whatever he said made them go to the Capitol and storm it. No Trump speech, no insurrection.

The Black freedom struggle that includes the abolition movement and Civil Rights movement has made the USA more faithful to its ideals of justice, freedom, equality.

The Confederacy and the opposition to the Civil Rights movement that gave birth to the GOP Southern Strategy that Trump has embraced are on the side of injustice as was the insurrection of January 6th.

The votes not to convict Trump of impeachment will come almost entirely from Senators representing former slave states or states from former slave territories (eg McConnell, Cruz, Hawley, Graham, Tuberville).

The USA is still too much divided along fault lines of racial division, and Trump as President sowed those divisions instead of trying to repair them.

I’m patriotic to the American flag not the Confederate flag.

I welcome all those Trump supporters who post here to declare themselves on the side of overcoming historical racial injustice such as represented by MLK Jr and Obama and Harris.

"your the dumbass"

It's you're, dumbass...

So give me the words Trump used to incite violence .

Clyde,

There can be protests for justice (such as done by radical abolitionists such as John Brown) and protests for injustice (such as the Confederate rebellion of 1861-65 and the mob insurrection of January 6, 2021).

You are on the wrong side of history supporting injustice. Harris is on the right side supporting justice.

TBR sorry I do , your the dumbass !

You have no freedom of speech here, dumbass.

Danbury, CT, Us

So it’s ok for Harris to call for protest but Trump should be impeached for doing the same , I see you support the double standard ! Thanks . Feel free to block me if you don’t like my freedom of speech .

Clyde,

Yes, I agree with Harris that BLM protests must go on.

I am fine with bail funds for protestors but it will be courts deciding those funds, and I will leave it to their judgments.

I don’t know the specifics in terms of what you are asking about Harris.

I’m fine with her as our Vice President, although I’ve had my criticisms of her too.

I can’t remember a judgment of yours that I agreed with.

I agree with TBrmkss that it’s stupid of me to give attention to your posts.

JC555,

I’ve never watched Happy Gilmore.

Please feel welcome to flatter yourself that I was concerned by anything you post about my golf or any judgments you post about me.

For some foolish reason, I am willing to try to explain what I believe and feel and address issues about politics in these posts and challenge prejudice and bad historical judgment and respect for Trump.

@JC, LOL, OK, I never saw that film, I've gotta go watch it now. Of course, part of the reason I was wondering what you were talking about is that there's LOTs of misinformation going on here and a LOT of people believing that misinformation. I gave it a 50/50 chance that you were being lied to by someone else on this site in some private msg (such as HFT), and you were believing yet another lie again.

If you ask me what misinformation I'm talking about, I'll list for example the BIG LIE about the election fraud, that Covid is a hoax, that Trump is the greatest ever and beloved by all the people. Lots more I could list but people have complained my posts are too long already.

I guess you don’t want to answer that question , I guess you don’t want to prove yourself to be a hypocrite , that’s ok we are used to this from the libtards here , happened all the time when the shoe is on the other foot .

Clyde,

What Harris question?

You’ve dodged 17 of my questions.

All the others you’ve answered foolishly.

You are probably second after HFT in posting stuff that adds nothing to a conversation.

I’m a fool for bothering to respond to anything you post.

Ted Olson, a major GOP lawyer whose argued cases before Supreme Court, says he will not donate to any Senator who refuses to vote to convict Trump of impeachment.

I got the Bob Barker joke , well done , lol.

Flip......these leftists are laughable. Think they are so intelligent yet so damn dumb. They probably hate Bob Barker now. Lol
