Fun just remember.. a "cash position" on sidelines if you are up.. is a great position.. and yes we are now doing that waiting except for some day trading with play money !
Money managers will always make their money..

You do know we're in a bubble worse than 2008, right? The crash IS coming, in fact it's overdue, but the tax cuts have enough funny money floating the indexes still. A lot of the big money has been backing out slowly, so as not to spook anyone.
In fact, as far as the real movers and shakers are concerned, a Biden victory would be perfect in some ways -- when the shit really hits the fan next year, the right-wing bilge machine can redo the 2008 bullshit playbook all over again. LOOK AT THE DEBT! LOOK AT THE DJIA!
There will be a market run before the election , there always is . This will be a small opportunity. . With a new president we could have questions . We could enter a war Armenia / Azerbaijan is heating up . Remember the Neocons hate Trump . They love wars and whoever is in power who is willing to go to war.
EROTIC---->How's that 600 point negative swing look now? :)
Like a buying opportunity
Love the sarcasm :)
As if Trump has been consistent in his nearly 4 years. ROFL.
And just as if it were prophetic, Trump unilaterally killed stimulus talks. How's that 600 point negative swing look now? :)
No , I never said that ...like I said I made lots of money from GS. In the 80s and 90s ....when there is uncertainty in the market people don’t know what to do . If Biden get a infrastructure package through quick the market could respond . Similar with Trump early with Trump we made money from Cat.
Last night at a town-hall Biden said he is the ONLY candidate wanting more money for the police . Now that is not what he has been saying . You see he goes back and forth . This was picked up by investors. I used to follow GS religiously and I made money.
Thanks for your input.
I'm sure you know much more about it than Goldman Sachs.
@2Much , It is not good for either side to sweep .Although the market does not like surprises . We had our visit with our planner last Wednesday .....Of course they do not want you to leave the market but they suspect if Biden would win the market would dip . This is again because they will not know what to expect . The question they ask is if the market would dip would it be because of Biden or because of extended shutdowns in the virus........They don’t know . These are what they asked us ( opinions )
They also asked Do we feel if Harris would take over presidency how would that affect the economy (opinion)
Again these are some unknowns that affect how people move their money. Goldman used to make me lots of money back during Clinton smart guys . Biden and Harris saying one thing today and another tomorrow creates confusion for the big investors.
Goldman Sachs: A Democratic sweep would mean faster economic recovery
New York (CNN Business)
President Donald Trump is once again warning voters that Democrats would "shut our economy and jobs down" if they win in November.
Goldman Sachs is telling its clients the exact opposite.
Just hours after Trump's all-caps Monday morning tweet predicting economic disaster, Goldman economists pointed out that polls "suggest a 'blue wave' in which Democrats gain unified control of Washington is becoming more likely" -- and they're not suggesting investors dump stocks.
In fact, "all else equal, such a blue wave would likely prompt us to upgrade our forecasts," Goldman Sachs chief economist Jan Hatzius wrote in a Monday report.
He is a comedic outlet valve.
...said by someone who still engages HFT :-)
Educating the uneducated is fine. Educating the uneducated who will never believe facts is a waste of time.
In Ex parte Garland (1866), the Supreme Court decided that while pardons could reach only past acts, the pardon “may be exercised at any time after [the act’s] commission, either before legal proceedings are taken or during their pendency or after conviction and judgment.”
“Punishment.
Given for a conviction for committing a crime.
A violation of Federal Law.
Not an internet rumor.
Not something that you saw on CNN.
Not something that a bunch of yeehaws thought sounded awesome.
A pardon is forgiveness for being convicted of committing a violation of Federal law, by the President.”
You could not be more wrong.
Nixon
A conviction is not required for a pardon.
"A federal pardon in the United States is the action of the President of the United States that completely sets aside the punishment for a federal crime. The authority to take such action is granted to the president by Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution."
Punishment.
Given for a conviction for committing a crime.
A violation of Federal Law.
Not an internet rumor.
Not something that you saw on CNN.

Educate me? What am I missing?
You don't actually understand what a Presidential pardon means, do you?
“You fucking guys kill me with your mindless drivel, seriously. Trump has pardoned 39 people and y'all act like he's done something outrageous, Obama pardoned 1,927 and you didn't blink.”
We are not talking about Trump vs Obama pardons. I really don’t care how many each one of them happens to pardon. The discussion is pardons for Trumps kids and then himself.
They don’t have to be convicted of a crime. They don’t even need to be charged with a crime. They can be pardoned ala Nixon. Don’t be foolish to believe that his family is not/ will not be investigated (and not just Congressionaly).
@One
I am assuming that before he leaves office, whether that is this or the next election, he will have pardons lined up for anyone whose name is Trump.
Yes, it is an assumption to get Pence to do it. That's why I think it will be an interesting thing. Will Pence be seen as 'normalizing' the country but not letting it go to trials and go on and on and on? Will Pence be seen as complicit in the crimes by pardoning Trump? This seriously is Gerald Ford all over again.
And yes, it will get extremely interesting after the election results are known!
Who the hell needs TV sitcoms, real life end of 2020 is going to be a helluva show!
None of his family members have even been accused of committing a Federal felony, much less convicted, what could he possibly pardon?
But what if he murders a horse!?!?!
Like, on the Whitehouse lawn!!
On Easter Sunday??
Better yet, in the Rose Garden while kids are rolling Easter Eggs!
You fucking guys kill me with your mindless drivel, seriously. Trump has pardoned 39 people and y'all act like he's done something outrageous, Obama pardoned 1,927 and you didn't blink.
“ Trump pardoning his family will be an interesting thing to witness. If he does that, then what? What will the public outcry be. Will he time it so that he does it, resigns, then Pence gets sworn in, pardon's Trump? Or will Trump get Pence to pardon the Trump clan?”
You’re assuming a lot right there. First off he has to get Pence to agree to it. What happens if he doesn’t go along with it? Then what does Trump do?
I think Trump will pardon the family members. And he doesn’t give a fuck what the public outcry will be. He has shown his lack (for the lack of a better term) character, already.
I do agree the next 90 days will be interesting.
BTW, we are both assuming he does not win re-election.
@One
Yes, you are correct, it will kill Pence's career just like it did to Ford. Now, will he want to retire for the rest of his life, perhaps go into the ministry, that is the question.
I am sure Pence is looking at what Trump did to Cohen and having a moral dilemma if he should take the fall or not.
Trump pardoning his family will be an interesting thing to witness. If he does that, then what? What will the public outcry be. Will he time it so that he does it, resigns, then Pence gets sworn in, pardon's Trump? Or will Trump get Pence to pardon the Trump clan?
Shit gonna interesting in the next 90 days :)
One, NO! Trump was not in a "tax mess". Everything was and is fine. It's the fake news at keeps beating a dead horse.
