I would have loved to be in the room when Pat, Trump's attorney argued against all of these pardons. I wonder if he told Trump that if he pardons those people that they are vulnerable still to charges! Again, a pardon is an admission of guilt. The people could still be vulnerable to state charges and to have that pardon there means they admit guilt. I could just imagine it going to a jury . . . "Members of the jury. 8inch.....who is the 2 loss team you are referring to. It's not Alabama. The titles they have won under Saban was having 1 loss or undefeated. Last 2 loss team I remember winning title was LSU in 2007 under the BCS formula but I could be wrong. The last BCS formula title game was in 2013 when FSU beat Auburn

College football playoffs suck.

The SEC Commisioner, Roy Kramer was the smart one. He realized that he could kill a few birds with one stone. As the SEC had too many teams to play each other during the season, it was always a line of shit that someone in the SEC got to play a pansy schedule. So Kramer decided to split the conference and have two divisions and then a championship game. That championship game was an extra game, aka revenue. But it also did something interesting. It impacted the BCS computers who were scoring strength of schedule because there was an extra game. If you came out of the SEC championship game undefeated, there was nearly a 100% chance you were going to be in the national championship game. It was very smart. Then the other conferences started to copy it.

Today, I can say, fuck alabama. fuck saban. fuck those assholes. Why? The game is over and it's time to go back to go gators!

8inch.....I agree the playoffs could be better and would like to see it expanded to 8 teams or even 10, but I think it is a step in the right direction with what we have now. I agree with Erotic also the power 5 is the best teams. Cincinnati went undefeated yet lost to a 2 loss Georgia team who lost big to Florida and Bama.

June Jones went undefeated at Hawaii. He argued hard to be in the national championship game. He got to play, iirc, a 2 loss Georgia team. Hawaii lost 41 to 10.

The argument that the undefeated are ranked below teams with losses is missing the point of rankings. Rankings are somewhat subjective. Hawaii played a bunch of games against the St Mary boys school level competition. A 3rd or 4th stringer on a SEC team would be all conference in most other conferences.

Going undefeated in the SEC is akin to running through a gauntlet of knives and only needing a bandaid.

Football in the south is a religion. It is always played. There is no offseason. I started playing at 5 years old in flag football in Miami. If you look at the makeup of the NFL, what conference leads the players in the NFL? It is the SEC. The reason that the SEC dominates has a LOT to do with big ass boys, most black, some white on the line. They play mean. They play like if they win, they get to go to Popeyes and have a bucket. Now look at the linemen in the PAC10. You see sculpted guys. You see guys that look like they eat kale and have a nutritionist helping them get to 9% body fat. The SEC guys? They look like they are carrying a keg under their shirt, but they can move a mountain.

I went to school with Emmit Smith, the NFL leading rusher. Really humble guy. His thighs were the size of my waist. He was basically two logs running down the field. We would talk about what his week was like. It was 90% football related, 10% school. He had very little time off. We used to take the bus out ot Oaks mall to go shopping for shit. I grew up going to schools that competed with what seemed to be half of University of Miami's football team. UM became great in the 80s because they started recruiting in Broward, 20 miles to the north. That used to be the domain of UF and FSU. But those kids, went to Stranahan, Ely and St. Thomas Aquinas. Those would be places on the 'wrong' side of the tracks. They used football to get out of the 'hood.'

SEC football . . . the best. They can beat you physically or finesse. They will just destroy whatever line you bring.

IMHO, post season college football sucks! Always has. The so called playoff system has not resolved anything. Drawing it out to the 11th of January one of the problems. National Championship game should be played on New Years Day.

College football is a "southern game" ruled by an NCAA that favors the SEC.

There's only a handful of conferences that have a chance of being selected, even if going undefeated.
SEC, ACC, BIG Ten, PAC-10, Big 12.... if you ain't from there, you're playing for the love and for the scouts.

Anyone who's honest will admit the playoff system is trash.
Too many 2-loss teams are ranked above undefeated and 1-loss schools.

When you don't win your conf title, you do not deserve another bite at the apple.
When you lose to a Top 5 team, you should fall, and number 5 or 6 should move into the playoffs.

I'm referring to NBC's darling Notre Dame and a few seasons back when LSU and Auburn were robbed
