“ Don't be fooled. These devils were virtually escorted into the Capitol Building”

“Afterward they were outside showing off what they took, and bragging about it while being interviewed. ”

Those white devils? At least you’re not hiding what you are, props for that. Holding up their trophy’s, kinda like the BLM mob holding up their flat screens after rioting in a Best Buy, right?

@EA

Arrests? Surely you jest. These terrorists were taking selfies with the cop terrorists. Don't be fooled. These devils were virtually escorted into the Capitol Building because they are all on the same team.

One guy virtually took a dump on Pelosi's desk, another openly carried out a podium out, and others were posing and partying next to statues and sitting in the chamber daring anyone to fuck with them. Afterward they were outside showing off what they took, and bragging about it while being interviewed. That display of privilege will insulate them against any arrest or charges. Come on man. Take off those rose colored glasses.

The Trumpers will move onto the next Shiny Suit Republican.
And mostly move on from the Trump. You'll see the Trump and MAGA hats wane slowly.
A few might be spotted on the 2024 campaign trail here and there.

I don't think the Trumpers will avoid voting for the next Repub nominee.

Hopefully/Luckily for us, the next Repub Presidential Nominee won't lie or incite to the level of Trump.
He (most likely a male), will without a doubt be more educated, well-versed and well-spoken.

And they will defend him tooth and nail.

@2

Sorry . . .

I will not buy that.

I will not let the actions of less than 1/10 of 1% of the US dictate who we are.

I will not let those who have their 15 minutes of fame say that is who we are.

You can call me an optimist. You can call me a person who has rose covered glasses. That's ok. My experience has been that on the whole, people are good. Racism and sexism are taught behaviors. They are not born that way. With the mass amount of people who are NOT that way, the peer pressure for them to convert will exist. If they do not, that's fine, they will die. For every death of one of those, there are a hundred born who are not that way.

@Your

What I see is the extension of the hatred that a black man became president. This is the continuation of the tea party. The tea party was created because some uppity black man was now their leader. They hated that. Trump rode that wave. Trump amplified that wave. Trump used that wave as his base.

So when I see this, I see the TP people. I see that he gave them a voice. The republicans sold their soul for that group so that they could have power. That group is not allegiant to Trump. That group is not allegiant to the republicans. That group is allegiant to their ideals. Whoever aligns with their ideals is who they want. So when the republicans start distancing themselves from that group, then what? That group existed prior to Trump and yes, will exist post Trump. They will be forced back into the woodwork. Why? Because some other things will be happening. What things?

Arrests.

Trials.

Convictions.

Jail.

It's easy to talk a big game. When shit hits the fan, you will see that for every 100 of them, maybe one has the balls to act. And that is a big maybe.

These are some lyrics from a song in the early 1980s. This, imo, typifies these people.

You talk of overthrowing power with violence as your tool

You speak of liberation and when the people rule

Well ain't it people rule right now, what difference would there be?

Just another set of bigots with their rifle-sights on me

These people want to destroy the system. There aren't enough of them to do it.

I agree with YLM. This is who we are now. This is who we've always been. Trump just put it out in the open.

Emeryville, CA, Us

EA,

I think you are forgetting that Trump didn't create this shitshow. He raised it to another level. He amplified what was always there. It has always been here, and will always be here. This is America.

Santa Barbara, CA, Us

Again, with history as my guideline, Trump's popularity will wane. People think it is a cult. Sure, it is for some, but it is not for all that voted for him. Of the 74mm that voted for him, I don't think there are more than 10-20k of those type of morons that did what happened in DC yesterday. For those, yes, he has a following. For the rest, next year at this time, he will be an afterthought. Especially after the charges hit.

In 50 years, he will be remembered as the corrupt president who was found guilty of ____ and did _____ to the country and the country survived.

Trump has a tremendous following. THE PLAN:
Find a Republican Governor that will be in office in 2024. A Democrat Senator in that State that has to run for reelection in 2022 or the seat is open.
Trump makes a deal with the Republican Governor. Trump establishes residency in that State and runs for the Senate in that State in 2022.
Gets elected and is elected LEADER of the Republican Senate.
Trump resigns, in summer of 2024, runs for President in 2024, is elected. The Republican Governor fills Trump's seat with a Republican.
How is that for a plan keeping Trump in the news and continuing doing good things?

Emeryville, CA, Us

Exactly.

It's like discussing it emasculates them somehow. The idea of them having it easy is questioning their manhood. They snowflakes get so triggered and angry. It's predictable and comical.

San Luis Obispo, CA, Us

Not only do a lot of people who have it deny it exists, they also get very upset if you want to discuss it.

I've had it my entire life.

Emeryville, CA, Us

Unlikely.

Part of the privilege is to deny it exists. It's quite ingenious actually. Hell, If I had it, I probably would do the same thing.

jC555,

Can you agree that one group of people or ethnicity —white people—has been treated much more favorably in the course of American history than the others and that the legacy of this unequal treatment is manifest in America today?

This should be easy common ground.

Emeryville, CA, Us

The locking of the Capital thread was predictable. Just like the Covid/Trump thread. You know the deal here.

Lol. My account was not hacked. We can agree to disagree.
Sapp......you are very passionate about what you believe and I respect that even though I don't agree
8inchcable......just because I don't agree with your political views doesn't make me a racist and vice versa. Thank you for your military service.

JC555,

BLM also believes what you deny or can’t see or are unbelievably ignorant about: that it is very American in the course of American history for one ethnicity—White people—to get more rights and more privileges and more advantages than others.

Part of what BLM argues and what I argue that the long history of white people having more rights and privileges and advantages than Black people has created a legacy of inequality that needs to be reckoned with and corrected so that all people in the USA can be treated equally by the law and law officers and the justice system of the USA and by each other.

Given your commitment to equal rights and equal justice, I’m sure you agree with BLM then.

Did someone hack and hijack JC5's account. Or is he just sober this morning/afternoon?

How and why the hell did the topic on The Capitol get locked?

Congratulations on your degree. I am sure it took a lot of work. The election is over and hopefully this country will move forward and recover from a awful year for all. The world I believe has way more good people than bad. I think we all can agree that we just seek peace, good health, and prosperity. I am sure everyone on here is good people and would probably enjoy time together as long as we stay away from politics. Just big our views are different doesn't mean we are wrong and are bad people. Hoping 2021 is better for all :)

Thornton, CO, Us

fun,,,The election is not over. The invasion of the Capital Building was only the beginning, "OF WHAT I THINK", will be the assignations of Judges and Politicians that betrayed our Country in the election fraud. I don't know any, there could be several crews planning it. Will the Boys become like Mexico Cartels? We are becoming a third world Country.

JC555

BLM believes all lives matter all the time. They just want black lives to matter as much as white lives in the eyes of the police and the country.

You have projected a false argument about BLM, which is part what BLM is protesting: the false images projected on African Americans, which makes them treated less equally than white people bybthe police and others.

You are good about creating a fake interpretation, and then attacking what you create as fake or wrong.

The elections are over. Maybe it's time to lock this topic and start over.

"from fast food to a Ph.D in statistics."

Well, my Ph.D. is not in statistics, it's in education. My job is to do statistical analysis.

But pretty impressive, wouldn't you say?

More pigeon chess.

You sound like Trump.

212screwyou2......the man you referred to as a rent a cop.
His name was David Dorn. A 77 year old retired police captain who served 38 years. Murdered during a BLM looting spree.
