What I see is the extension of the hatred that a black man became president. This is the continuation of the tea party. The tea party was created because some uppity black man was now their leader. They hated that. Trump rode that wave. Trump amplified that wave. Trump used that wave as his base.
So when I see this, I see the TP people. I see that he gave them a voice. The republicans sold their soul for that group so that they could have power. That group is not allegiant to Trump. That group is not allegiant to the republicans. That group is allegiant to their ideals. Whoever aligns with their ideals is who they want. So when the republicans start distancing themselves from that group, then what? That group existed prior to Trump and yes, will exist post Trump. They will be forced back into the woodwork. Why? Because some other things will be happening. What things?
Arrests.
Trials.
Convictions.
Jail.
It's easy to talk a big game. When shit hits the fan, you will see that for every 100 of them, maybe one has the balls to act. And that is a big maybe.
These are some lyrics from a song in the early 1980s. This, imo, typifies these people.
You talk of overthrowing power with violence as your tool
You speak of liberation and when the people rule
Well ain't it people rule right now, what difference would there be?
Just another set of bigots with their rifle-sights on me
These people want to destroy the system. There aren't enough of them to do it.
