Pics being rejected.

@flgatravel - Per your quote: “It is a shame that SLS doesn’t care more about their members who have been lifetime members for years”

I expect part of the reason SLS “doesn’t care” more about their lifetime members - whether that is true or not - is because most lifetime members aren’t generating additional income for them, other than perhaps referring someone to SLS occasionally. SLS Lifetime membership is a real bargain IMHO - I jumped on the offer the minute I saw it.

For what it’s worth, I used to approve pictures and profiles but apparently my judgment of what passes and what doesn’t wasn’t too good. I got a notice from SLS that if my “correct” accuracy percentage declined much further, my approving privileges would be rescinded so I just totally stopped approving pics and profiles …. thought I was helping them out but apparently not …

Being a lifetime member I have been approving pictures submitted for years. When SLS came up with this new approval process there was no real training and I was approving pictures as I was before and then had my privileged revoked for inaccuracy. When I contacted the help desk I was sent this message when I voiced a concern about loosing my privileges.

“I'm sorry, the simple answer is that we have 1000's of Lifetime members doing this, so we do not have any incentive to spend time on the members that made mistakes.”

So I am assuming lifetime members are now approving far less pictures than they were in the past so they don’t loose their privilege of approving pics. It is a shame that SLS doesn’t care more about their members who have been lifetime members for years. I can only imagine those approving pics are going to be more and more restrictive.

@Wayne ...

Seriously ... do these 'developers' have any idea of what they are doing? Every time i sign on, they have 'fucked' something else up. Does SLS have any say in what is being done to this website at all?

@Wayne

Do these folk who make all theses 'enhancements/changes' ever test them on a beta site or they just screw around with the live system?

If your picture is just disappearing, it is getting approved. There is a technical issue that is sometimes causing delays between the time the picture is approved and the time it shows on your profile. If we actually delete your picture, you will receive a support ticket letting you know that we did that.

We also recently revamped the whole picture approval system and that seems to have caused a lot of confusion with Lifetime members and many pictures have been rated wrong. You can submit a ticket using the "Photo" category and attach the picture to the ticket and I can get it posted for you if you still have problems.

Part of the problem could be that Lifetime members, x number of months after Lifetime designation, are allowed to approve/reject photos. Their idea of what qualifies can vary. However, if their percentage of correct picture approvals/rejections falls too low, SLS will rescind that privilege.

On another note, interacting with Support and playing around with different graphics programs, I found that Microsoft Paint is usually the culprit behind pics being sideways.

I agree. It's amazing how some real explicit pics get accepted and others that are vanilla aren't accepted. I've had some shirtless pics get rejected but when I contacted Support, they approved them.

I don't know if it's a double standard or just sloppiness but women seem to get a pass on explicit pics. Mind you, I am certainly not one to complain.

You might want to contact Support to get your pics accepted.

Good luck!

For the second time in two days, we're having Facebook friendly pics rejected. The one from today has a shirtless pic of me (male) from the waist up. Illiacs are showing but penis is NOT showing. AT ALL! And it keeps getting rejected almost as fast as I put it up. As I say that, a quick look on the profiles that viewed us section there are numerous profile pics of dudes wirh their cocks in full display? What gives? What is the deal here?
