New messaging fornat

I got an email from them at an outside email address, the one I'm not supposed to have on my profile, and the sheer hypocrisy - if I have to put up with a stupid 255 character limitation in pursuit of getting laid, then SLS can put up with it for marketing purposes - pissed me off enough to unsubscribe from all further communications. Because fuck that shit.

I got a wonderful email message today. Centered, paragraph breaks, attached pictures and all information in one well-organized package.

Of course, this is a marketing email from SLS, who retains the ability to do this. Apparently the whole "there's no difference" argument doesn't apply to SLS, because they know damn well that sending their marketing emails in 255 character chunks with no formatting, paragraph breaks would be a train wreck.

If it makes no difference, SLS, stop using the email system and send all of your messages via the "new and improved" system, with the same functional restrictions that we have.

The new messaging system is awful. The fact that they couldn't implement a messaging system AND an email system is laughable.

SLS is in desperate need of new software developers.

I do NOT use my phone to access this site. I travel and would use the "Hot Date" Calendar to find parties and events. Since Monday 7-15-19 I can no longer change my location on my profile or in the Hot Date section to find events when I travel! When I try to change my location I get this message " Please re-enter city using autocomplete" Thing is "Autocomplete" use to automatically drop down to click on and now it does NOT so I can NOT change my location to find events same message when trying to change my location on my profile! Wonder what we are going to loose next on this site. SMFH....... WAIT.. I know what they will take away next "Forums"! I can NOT submit a support ticket because it wont scroll down far enough for me to see and hit Send, I have tried many times, not sure if support ONLY works when using the phone apt, which I will never do!

I really don't like the new messaging system. If you write a long message, it breaks it up into multiple messages. I had a notification for 13 new messages. It turned out to be one that was broken up into 13 different messages. However, it appears that clubs/groups can still send email through the old system. I'm not a fan of this new messaging format.

Dear Alpha_Omega. Oh How I understand your dislike of the 'New Improved' system but if you go to my post in open forum entitled : SLS Killed email. WTF. You can read what to expect as help to your inquiry from SLS. How many ways can you say, Nuttin' Honey? I asked for help for relief from their idiotic 'Free Member' program and got the shaft. Didn't even get a kiss! They said, "They would look into it." Paid members got nuttin' but green, brown and run around.

I became a paying member so that I COULD do emails, I've been ROBBED!!!!! SMFH

Well, that and investigating other sites, because pounding sand is of limited interest. SLS doesn't care about me as a lifetime member, because I've already given them all the dollars I'm going to contribute. In the same way, I have no particular investment in it as a site, since I'm pretty sure I've gotten my money's worth over the past nearly seven years. and in any case, don't practice sunk cost fallacies.

You're new here so might not know who that is. What you are complaining about has been what we've all been complaining about for the last couple of weeks, only to be told that our complaints are not valid.

Cause that has worked so well with all the previous "improvements..."

There are approximately 800 posts saying exactly the same thing. According to an SLS person, the vast majority of members prefer IM, but since it's currently running 797-3, most of us doubt that "fact."

I need to know , how many other people do not like the "new format" for messaging?

Its not a new format so to speak, SLS basically took away the email messaging from us. Its ridiculous.

If you try to compose.a.real message, email, or a proper hello to someone in comes out in numerous "paragraphs" (numerous message tiles)

Complain to SLS tell them we want back the original email message format as well as the IM format.
