I was waiting outside the UPS store. I see a woman walk out without a mask on. Maybe early 30s, pink hair, wearing a really skimpy top and yoga pants so tight and thin that I am pretty sure her left hemisphere has a zit at 79°W/22°S.

Anyway - she walks back and forth - twice - to this parked SUV outside the store. Why, I don't know. But her non-maskiness gets more agitating to people the more she walks past everyone over and over.

15 minutes later, I'm at the grocery store. There she is again. In the produce section. She is really really close to everyone - from one person to the next. The more I watched the more it was obvious - she was actually deliberately leaning and reaching in front of other shoppers - most of the time not even taking what she was reaching for. Even under normal circumstances, her behavior was odd. But the more I watched her the more I was convinced - she was trying to provoke a confrontation with someone over getting in their face without a mask on. I'm 99% certain of it, and I think any reasonable person would think the same thing. After a few minutes she had managed to clear out everyone within about 25 feet of her.

Why? To what end? Why would someone do this?

JW why all of our Canadian friends and family keep sending us news stories of the COVID situation in Florida? Do they think that we are unaware of it?

We had a mostly empty profile from our former haunt in Virginia turn up in our WVM. When we clicked on it, there was a note that said

"These two are fucking nuts."

I don't remember writing that, although I'm sure I must have. No pics or anything to go by on how we had encountered them before, so I am JW forever now as to what on earth happened that prompted me to add that note to their profile.

I read this morning that Elon Musk has just displaced Warren Buffet as the seventh richest white dude in America. This on the strength of the meteoric rise (plus 250% this year) in Tesla stock. Lately many stock market pundits have been saying that Tesla is actually on the verge of turning a profit, which would mean that it joins the S&P 500 which in turn means that S&P 500 exchange traded funds, one of the largest category of 401K investments in the US, will be compelled to buy the stock, which inevitably means that the price will go up further, at least for a moment.

Based on this story I decided to do a little arithmetic. According to the interwebs, Toyota Motor Corporation, the largest car company in the world, delivered 10.7 million vehicles last year and has a current market capitalization of $206 billion. Tesla delivered 367,500 cars last year and has a market CAP of 286.6 billion, or slightly more than $779,000 for every car it delivered in 2019.

I knew Teslas were spendy but, wow.
