We are so grateful for our health, our friends, our lives. An overnight visit to the coast and an evening with LS acquaintances reminds us of the importance of enjoying what we have today. It may not be there tomorrow.

Drinking a tall Mickey's beer. Mickey's beer is the traditional beer everyone would drink when the country store in Navarro Ca would have a live band in their parking lot.
Navarro is a town of a couple hundred people in the redwoods, everyone would come down out of the hills and tourist would drive for the party. Several hundred people all drinking, smoking pot and dancing the afternoon away.
We are going dancing on the strip tonight, Caesars gets really wild, as i drink my Mickey's. Tradition!!!

Yaaaa we are going to get fruit on our newly planted Apricot tree, i love ripe apricots. It looks like we are going to get jujubes and figs and persimmons too.
HT: Peameal bacon. Almost certainly none of you have heard of it or tasted it. It's "sweet pickled pork back rolled in corn meal", then sliced and fried in butter. It sounds disgusting and looks pretty questionable, but it's fucking outstanding. And impossible to find in the US. I rely on visiting Canadians for my supply.
It's been rolled in corn meal since WW2, but it used to be rolled in ground yellow peas. The peas are gone but the name persists. If there were such a thing as "Canadian bacon", this would be it.
Wow it takes a special person to do what you are doing for others. Raising three kids seems to be easier.
It was getting light when I went to yoga this morning and there's still some light in the sky 13 hours later. In spite of last night's snow, winter appears to be losing its grip.

Like all visiting northerners they spent the whole day in the pool. One of her kids got a whole lotta sunshine and is pretty red.

In my freshman year of school, I met a friend whom I haven't seen in about 7 years. Her husband's health has not been consistently good enough for them to travel until recently. She is the longest of all friends that I continue to have contact with.
But any minute now, I expect she, her husband, his new liver and their 3 kids will be here for brunch. I am so happy to be seeing them again after so long.
YAAA around fifty couples last night for Contra Dancing. What fun!
FYI Mrs never wear undies except to weddings. But then she does not go to church
