I haven’t paid attention to whether or not the profiles of those who contact me show up on my list of those who viewed my profile. If you don’t know this, there is a button there you can push to see an extended list of those who viewed your profile. So maybe those people show up in that extended list. I don’t know.

I send a few messages out to people who look at my profile. I also say hello to some members (singles and couples) that have a gorgeous female, or for another good reason.

Oh, by the way. I’ve never understood the people who object to certain members who do look at their profiles. Makes no sense, in my view.

You can send messages from the "Who's On" tab. We have a lot of people send messages who never look at the profile and just see the basic stats and and the default pic and send a message. Many of these will be a generic message they send to everyone. The traveling business man seems to do this super frequently along with his sm cohorts.

"I think that if you have the "who viewed me" feature turned off, you won't show up on someone else's if you look at their profile"

If SLS is working right, you won't. From Who Viewed Me:

Enabling Views allows you to see other members who have visited your profile.

Disabling Views will prevent others from seeing when you view their profiles and prevents you from seeing who viewed your
profile. A Paid or Lifetime subscription is required in order to disable Views.

I rarely have Who Viewed Me on. I only intentionally look at the profiles of those who contact me or who ask for a review in Better Profiles. The bulk of my views are accidental and occur as I'm scrolling through the forums. So, I'm not actually giving anyone useful information by keeping it on and I'm saving myself from knowing there's a couple who looks at my profile nearly every single day. Which is really creepy, so I'm better off not knowing.

While we enjoy the contacts we receive on the SLS messaging system, we sometimes hear from folks who obviously have read our profile, but do not show up on our "Who Viewed ..." feature. Not complaining, but it Just seems to lack candor.
Anyone else agree?
Again, we understand some measure of discretion and we certainly appreciate the comments, inquiries, invitations and conversations that result. So, as our favorite quote says: "Please don't stop!"
