Black rings

I can't wait for us to later find out that an upside pineapple in your cart is some sort of white supremacist act or something.

Let us know how it works out for you.

Personally, I just want to see the grocery store clerks trying to figure out the upside down pineapple. Heard about the pineapple. First I've heard about the upside down thing. LOL.

I love to read about symbols in general so far I have learned that a black band on the right ring finger are the “signs” you are in the LS. I found article on the internet that said back in the day, in California, swingers would put an pineapple in their grocery carts upside down so that other swingers could identify them and invite them to parties. There was also something about upside down pineapple door knockers. I did see on Amazon there is also some jewelry that is sold and supposed to be an identifiable swinger symbol. I am totally planning to insert some symbols into my artwork just for fun to see if I hear any comments during shows. I have some vintage molds that will work perfectly.

One company produces rings of just about any color you can imagine made of a rubberized compound that won't slip off in water.

Biggest problem is that I sometimes see black rings on people whom I'm pretty damn sure are NOT swingers. Obviously I can't know all the time, but at least in some cases, I'm almost 100% certain they are not.

Every so often the idea of having a way of identifying swingers, or being identified as such, comes around. The problem with this sort of thing isn't in trying to find one thing that would be universally recognized by all swingers. Anything will do. Black rings, anklets, symbols on a t-shirt, pineapples, scrunchie on the antenna, etc. would all work fine. Finding one thing to be the indentifying "thing", isn't the problem. The problem is that most swingers do NOT want to be identified. And as soon as ONE symbol becomes THE symbol, big mouths will be running and soon EVERYONE on the planet will know what THE symbol is and everyone's anonymity is fucked.

We wear them to places like nude resorts, it has helped us find other swingers with out an uncomfortable conversation

We have been in the lifestyle a while. We wore black rings on our right hand for a while. We were never approached. Do not know how many people know what the significance of a black ring on the right finger means. We have not worn them for a month now....no difference.....lol

Fockers- please understand that I am saying this in the kindest way possible and from a place of wanting to help.

You need to do something about your posting. I don’t know if you use voice to text or your spell check is off but most of your posts are really hard to read.

At times they are so hard to understand that I blip over them.

I’m sure you don’t want anyone bliping past your posts.

Just trying to be helpful.

Black wedding bands are popular. But apparently it only means lifestylenifvit I’m the right ring finger.

Windermere, FL, Us

My son in law's wedding band is black.

I really hope this doesn't mean this.

Correct Fokkers, asexuals wear a black ring on the middle finger of the right hand. Or I should say some do. Just like swingers not all go in for these sorts of things.

I wore a black ring on my right hand ring finger for many years before I was a swinger, never wore one when I was.

Welp, I guess that confirms that you learn something new every day. We've been in the lifestyle on and off about 20 years. I never knew this. Bet I will be checking some right hand, ring fingers in the near future. ;)

On our annual road trip to Florida, we go to Cassadaga, Florida for the wife's reading. It's a nice town like Woodstock, NY was years ago. There we buy Black Rings for $2.00 each, made of a material that always breaks. Then we buy them again next trip.

We have a pair we got on Amazon, they were pretty cheap - about $12/each.

We were in Dick’s Sporting Goods and up by the register area they had black silicon rings for the “active people” to wear. I would have probably bought 2 but at almost $20/each I thought it was a little expensive. I am sure I can find something similiar on Amazon for cheaper. My wedding band keeps getting bigger and i starting to slip off , one of those silicon bands would probably be a whole lot better.

Damnit autocorrect!!!

How does wear become eat???

Fresno, CA, Us

Depends on if you need more iron in your diet.

New Orleans, LA, Us

“You’re supposed to eat it in your ring finger in your right hand.”

Damn, are we supposed to eat the ring or our finger?

;^D

You’re supposed to eat it in your ring finger in your right hand. I have read that the asexual community will also wear a black ring on their right hand but on the middle finger.

Birmingham, MI, Us

I love the idea. Is their a particular finger on the right hand you should wear the ring?

Ludington, MI, Us

Thanks for the responses. We go to swingers clubs, but thought the ring idea was fun. Kind of a secret code for other swingers but also our own little naughty secret when people ask about the rings. Maybe I will petition Congress to enact legislation to make the black ring thing a universal swinging symbol!

Fresno, CA, Us

I've personally seen black rings at least twice on folks in a professional setting, so obviously I didn't ask. But I suspect that it's more widespread than the LS. For example, I've seen them on several guys with music instruction or guitar building channels on youtube. I suppose they could be LS folks as well, but it may just be more of a metal thing.

Point is, you really can't be sure unless the sign is explicit, like Hedo or SLS logo'd gear. Even then, it'd be kind of a crap shoot.
