I have a redo penile implant in me now, Coloplast Titan. The first was AMS 700, lasted only three years, came out all messed up. I did however use a penile vacuum pump two months total prior to the implant, stopping one week before actuall surgery. The pump did help me a great deal, I did never band my cock and have sex that way. So there is my testimony on the vacuum pump.. As far as a penile implant is concerned I have enjoyed mine so much and was very happy to get the second one. My Surgeon is in Oxford, and Leesburg Florida. He is very good and has done great work. One other thing a penis pump can do is increase blood flow to your penis to help you achieve or maintain an erection. This can be something that helps with ED issues, though I've not personally heard of anyone trying it for this reason and having success with it. Then again, other than occasional references here, I really don't know people that use penis pumps. The guys I have heard of that use them don't use them for this purpose.

I've never used a cock ring. So far, Viagra has worked very well for me so haven't needed to even think of trying a cock ring/penis pump to get and stay hard. As mentioned, supposedly regular use of a penis pump keeps the plumbing in better working order, but can't speak to that first hand. Not sure if you otherwise get extra length/girth temporarily either.

One use of these that I heard of it that you use it to pull the blood into your penis (essentially making you hard), then remove it and quickly put a cock ring on to try to keep the erection.

Not sure any studies were done, but some speculate that it may free up blockages in the tubes in your penis that fill with blood to get an erection, making it easier to get and keep an erection. I don't think it is something designed to give pleasure in and of itself.
