It's a hoot!! Many years ago we purchased from a company called P.E.S - Paradise Electro Stimulation. I think it has gone out of business since. Have enjoyed it over the years, but it's not an every time we have sex "toy" and typically we just use it for foreplay. Have a large insertable "ball" for vaginal stimulation and also an anal plug. Clarification with having a few years with the Violet wand and E stim play
There are wands and stim machines to be aware of and some of them pose a large danger.
A basic history of wands early wands are 1900s were more medical quackery violet ray etc brands most of these are Collectors and can cause harm because of wiring and condensers.Unless they are inspected and tested they are not safe some of the attachments like the neon still work after 50 plus years.
A sister to the wand is called a Diathermy machine they look similar but they used to seal cuts and surgery not safe to play with same danger with age.
The fda banned the use of Violet Wands in the 1940s and are used to test leaks on neon among some other industry use It's has a use of hair removal in the beauty field
The most common wand is a BD-10 /12 hand mechanical it's recommended use time is 10 to 15 minutes because of heat
The transiter solid state ones unlimited time but feel different
I have a modified wand that has a 4 hour before I have to shut it off to cool.
There are some pre Tens Units 1960s that have been known to break bones and rip muscle and are Collectors items but would never use them due to safety issues
A cheep 6 channel tens unit can be had for under 250 I still have the one I bought 20 years ago still works and have a good source of pads always better to start on lower settings than making the mistake of having the settings on high a good adjustable unit.

The TENS play can be done in many different ways and with different attachments. Erostech is a fun machine! As for the violet wand. Another fun way to play! With either just be sure if the bits are touching too keep them touching until the unit is off, otherwise it'll be a shocking experience!

The elec toys are a bit expensive. It would help to find someone willing to teach/demonstrate all a wand can do. You can get a very nice warming sensation like warn massage oil. Or you can get ramp up to thousands of needle pricks. Different body parts react differently. A warm sensation on your forearm may be prickly on your lower back. You just need to find what you like where.

We have a TENS for PT but haven't tried it for sex. At least part of the clit is made of smooth muscle, so it should stimulate that pretty well.

We've seen the violet wands. It's not something that really interested either of us much. The Mrs might like it in the heat of the moment, but not really enough to justify the cost.

Have been enjoying estim for a couple of years now. Always have a HFO now after edging for a while.

We use a violet want solid state unit. Not only does it ignite alcohol, it can be used for branding with the right tip.

Tens units didn't do much for me. Violet wands give an array of soothing warmth, up to and including sharp "hits". And it will ignite alcohol on the skin. <grin>

Me, but I prefer wands to TENS units, or at least I've had poor experiences with TENS except for shoulder rehab, where it worked really well. ;-)
