We love them...

She wears them at the clubs private rooms when folks are watching us.. it makes her feel better not looking at them eye to eye while we fuck for the viyeurs.

Got the cuffs. I'll be honest, I wish the neoprene was cordura or nylon webbing or whatever sportsheets used. Seems like it'll tear/wear easy. Even says so on the warning sheet included with it. But we'll give it a shot.

I also think they are advertising poppers as "leather stripper". Interesting sales tactic. Also included a card in case I want to order some at $40 a "pop". lol

A new riding crop also came today!! Intrepid International is the brand I believe. Seems to be of very good quality.

Single- On ebay, check out "Vishusju Ankle Wrist Cuffs Neoprene Padded Straps D-Ring Glute D ring silver" They are only $14 and seem like they would be perfect for non-locking wrist restraints. Then we could use the Sportsheets cuffs (older/stronger version) we already have for ankles. The Mr. S Neoprene's would be $45 shipped which isn't bad. But if we can save money that's certainly welcome. Thoughts? Thanks!

I do appreciate that Single. Yes, I've been thinking about the dowel option. Now what is a good COMFORTABLE restraint for wrist/ankles in conjunction with the eyelets?... Mr. S again? If so, which specific set? Thanks!!

Single- Oh ok. I liken it to turning your head or closing your eyes when you want to hear something better. That's all we're doing for each other when strictly speaking of the blindfolds. Now once we include restraints, it's still VERY mild domination/submission....but yes, clearly the restrained one is submitting to the other.

Off to shop for ankle restraints for the bed. Either that or maybe dipping a toe into spreader bar territory.

Single- what is low level d/s? I didnt refer to it with those words....makes me think low level is a better/worse comparison. However, holding a partners wrists down during sex < cuffing wrists together < restraining to bed < restraining to cross. See the continuum or spectrum? That's just one example of what can exist on bdsm. But from your experience I really dont think this is news to you.

Please let me know if anything remains perplexing for you.

Ron- Ok, if you must, let's call it a spectrum, and what we do is on the lowest possible level of dom/sub.

Single- In this case since it's something as simple as a blindfold, we specifically ordered the series of folds from walmart and are just returning the other 5. Not overly pricey to do. Now when testing other gear, yes absolutely it can be a real gamble!!

Hey Single! For us, the purpose of the blindfold is to do nothing more than close off sight. No dom/sub is involved. So the Mindfold, while VERY far from sexy/sensual, does do the trick very nicely. For now it gives us something good we can work with. But that silk/satiny feel we were going for, just doesn't seem to exist in the effective blindfold arena. Thanks!

In addition, I found the exact blindfold Christian Gray uses in 50 Shades, which is more along the lines of what we had in mind for setting/embracing the mood...and it's called the All Mine Deluxe Blackout Blindfold. From our testing it seems like it would do so-so to block out light/sight by forcing the eyes closed, but obviously would not allow from blinking. The aspect of open eye darkness while receiving other sensation would seem to be MUCH more intense which the Mindfold does beautifully. But the All Mine has for the sexy/sensual part down. I wish we could find an effective combo of the two.

Maybe buy the All Mine (or any satin scarf/etc.) and then glue a foam cutout to it so that when tied around the head it has the exact same effect light/open-eye-wise, but it's still got the sexy/sensual feel going on. I experiment with such creations sporadically so maybe I'll give it a shot!!

Thanks for the feed back Forever. We do think the Mindfold is a really good low cost blindfold. We do have leather hoods also for more intense play. Part of me was hoping you would find something better than the Mindfold so we could try something new. So far everyone we have had try it really has enjoyed it. Have fun and enjoy!

Wanted to report back.... the Mindfold won!

We tried out all the different blindfolds. Most were poorly made and just didn't block out light/vision very well. Another issue was fit. All the bands do kinda suck, including the Mindfolds. It's just simple elastic. Nothing overly sensual or pleasing on a sensory/tactile level. But for the time being, the Mindfold was comfortable, blocks out all light, and allows for eyes to be totally open. We would love to find something a bit more sensually/sexually designed so please feel free to share other suggestions. Thanks!

All the blindfolds we ordered came in the mail. We'll give them a try when we have time and report back with the results. Thanks for the info and experience shared.

My personal favorite we got from Extreme Restraints, "Master Series". I'll have to check out the Manta.

We have found that a 'winter' Nike headband works well and stays in place. Can't beat the multifunctional 'toys'.

Seems like there's a bunch of different options with blindfolds and sleep masks. I'm going to order a few and see which functionally work the best for our needs, which include blocking sight and light, allowing for open eyes, being functional when the head/face is in contact with a surface, and comfort. So far I have 6 different masks in the cart to test. Thanks for the replies!

We have been using manta sleep masks since they were introduced. We have 5-6 placed around our playroom. They allow independent positioning of each eye cover, total darkness and allow you to have eyes open as well. And they seem to last forever. go to manta (no space) sleep dot com

The " mindfold"is a very nice one. I have utilized leather hoods and some stretch fabric hoods extra padded in the eye area. Full face has mask or respirator s also work when blacked out a tad larger profile.

The mindfold looks good for someone who might only be touching the back of their head to a surface. Any more than that, and multiple vids show them being uncomfortable and ineffective. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Check out the sleep mask called "Mindfold". It's very effective and very comfortable. The Mrs hasn't used it for play since last night.

I made my own out of duct tape and weather stripping. Made the mask shape and put the weather stripping around the perimeter of the inside of the mask for comfort and block out the light and used some velcro elastic to make the strap. Wrote words on the front of them like "whore", "slut", etc ... yes, you really CAN use duct tape for everything.

We would like to be some really functional yet super comfortable blindfolds. We've tried sleep masks, scarves/bandannas, but would like something purpose built and would greatly appreciate suggestions.
