Diane and I were talking about lifestyle-oriented cruises. She observed that a lifestyle cruise would cost around 25% more than a comparable vanilla-oriented cruise. What are your thoughts? And, how can we meet lifestyle folks on a vanilla…

@vabeach -you said…. “ Weed on the other hand is a complex mix of related compounds whose ratios can vary significantly from variety to variety or even from plant to plant.” From evidence I have seen first hand one could substitute liquor…
We also have had many of the experiences others have had. I quipped recently that vetting possible play partners is a second job. Even when I do a lot of due diligence and I bring Diane into the conversation our gut instincts have failed u…
@Melvin - I take it you liked the steak (wink)
@Hop - I find myself saying "Really?!?" a lot.
@2much - you mean like us?
The first time I had pot I was 19. It was late at night and I partaked while listening to Muddy Waters. I swear that 4 minute song was the longest I had ever heard. :-)
@mayhem8—exactly. We have been with a couple of different guys who were "well hung"—read 8+ inches—and Diane didn't enjoy herself as much as she would have if they had been an inch or a half smaller. It just goes to show that size does mat…
@mayhem8 - so 8" instead of 9"? (wink)
@scamp - well said. Thank you.
@window - no worries, I figured it out. I was pressed for time earlier as I had a conference call I had to join.
@window - I did notice that and "fixed" it. Turns out there was a blank space at the end that dorked things up. Watching it now.
@window - came up as a bad link.
@Goodvibes - that is an extremely hot mental image you just painted.
@window - yup and I have frequently been the two time guy. :-)
@Goodenuff - not entirely new, but new to posting. I have been in lurking mode for awhile.
@one—I understand. But the reality is that no one really knows who the fool is. We all have opinions. But, that really is all it is.
@window—there has, indeed. We, as a country, are on a very slippery slope. I am personally afraid we have reached a point where the momentum has reached a point where it will be impossible to stop until we hit bottom. And it personally hur…
@window - I called myself a dickhead. :-)
@one - I judge people based on their actions, not from history, which is impossible for me to verify. But I appreciate the information.
@marion - you are absolutely correct. But most of us are still free thinkers and can act in a manner we think is right.
Gee folks, see how easy it is to come together when you are both annoyed with a dickhead. Someone totally inconsequential. Now, imagine what you could do if you put the *whole* country first.
Folks, you are missing my point. One side calls the other idiots, while the other side calls them communists. Both sides are at fault. Communication isn’t possible when you are all yelling. And the comment about violence and having to hire…
@One - I think your comment somewhat illustrates my point.
@marion- there’s a ton of truth in your statement
- If all DJT supporters are idiots, then everyone against him is a communist. - Makes me wonder, if people really think this, if the country can be fixed. I love this country. I hate the tribalism. I have friends that are Republican and fr…
PB&J sandwich with bourbon
@goodenuff - LOL
@spoonerpa - I wish I could find a reliable source of venison I could purchase from. I'm not a hunter so I don't really have that option.
There has been a banner ad for an Alaska cruise here. It purports to be for lifestyle folks, but when I look at it, the site talks up how family-friendly the cruise is. Ummmm.....what?
@spoonerpa - I'm jealous....venison anything, yum!!
Yes...no wait....no....hmmm....oh crap, maybe.
Think I’m going to pull out of the freezer some smoked brisket I but in a vacuum sealed pack. Will sous vide it and add some garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed asparagus.
…only one venue for playtime, which would you choose and why? Hedo, a Bliss cruise of a hotel takeover?
Thanks everyone for your review and suggestions on how to improve our profile. I think the changes we made have made it a lot better. - Jack and Diane.
@mayhem8 - thanks.
@all_of_my_editors - how about this...? Tag line: Blessed are the curious, for they shall have adventures Looking For: We are looking for people like us. You will be passionate, empathetic, and adventurous. We will likely be a good fit if…
@mayhem8 - thank you!!
@goodgollymsmolly98226—Harsh is not how I would describe your feedback. Direct? To the point? Specific? Yes, which is precisely what I was hoping to receive. I somehow intuitively knew I was missing the mark. Yet, despite that inner voice,…
@irishrose22—Thank you. I will remove the text about the black ring and add a full profile photo as soon as possible. I appreciate your input.
Questions I have.... Is it too long? Is it too specific? Are we being too blunt or restrictive? Does it give people an idea of who we are? Are our pictures ok? Are we doing a reasonable job of marketing ourselves?
@hotluvrs - LOL. Love it.
@hotluvrs - admittedly crunchy pb is not for everyone. It does require a certain amount of sophistication. tongue planted firmly in cheek
Hi everyone, please take a look at our profile and let us know what you think. The good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks in advance. Jack (and Diane)
A black currant jam and crunchy pb sandwich.
Have a brisket on the smoker. Having that, smoked mac & cheese, collard greens. Yum
@calcanfun2 :-)
@YMichael14, if you really want a "fuck off creep", I am happy to oblige. Just don't hold it against me.
@calcunfun two thumbs up @mayhem8 "For example, people that have let themselves go..." Are you hiding behind our mirror? :-D
Love this thread. I found myself vigorously nodding in agreement and thinking “Oh yeah, been there!,” This is one reason we like to go slow. Get to know him/them. Build rapport. Meet them on an intellectual and emotional level first. Yet d…
@mayhem8, I get where you are coming from. Diane and I were talking about this party. She made the point that a cruise could be more sociable and more rewarding. It's tough to know what the approach is. I agree a house party could be a goo…
@mayhem8, unfortunately we are not able to host. Covid, and the long term effects, brought Diane’s adult son back. Agree that the $$$ spent on a hotel party could be significant. The one we are going to will end up costing around $500 by t…
@ Esperanza911, thanks for your feedback.
Diane and I usually limit our drive time to meet someone for the first time. But we are thinking of changing that. We are going to our first hotel party in a town about 90 minutes away. We believe it is a golden opportunity to meet many pe…
As an unlimited member we have the ability to review profiles for approval. I have noticed the following in a significant number of profiles purportedly from single females in the their 20s. The same sentence, exactly… “I do not do drama a…
Onehorneywife, it is March 14 to 16 at the Tropicana in Laughlin. There are banner ads for it frequently when you log in to here.
I find it really encouraging that almost 100 mature people are going to the Silver Swingers event in Laughlin, NV. It appears there are still fires burning.
Not only are we playing, we only started 18 months ago. It has been an interesting and fun ride so far. Going to our first hotel party in Laughlin, NV in March.
