So with the site being so busted we have noticed many regulars over the years leaving. Where are they going? We would like to know. Between the site issues an clientele lately we are looking for a new spot. Any insight is appreciated.

I agree, I don't understand why the site owners are not actively working towards replacing the current code base, and instead are having to do emergency fixes every few weeks. Why piss of your user base instead of expand it?

If sls implemented a new fee for long term members, I would understand....and I would pay it. As I only paid a small $140 +/- fee to join for a lifetime
IF the site were fixed and consistently running smoothly
How they would assure us of that is, of course, is purely hypothetical

The motivation is to drive new members to join and retain them. Many people we know are simply not renewing their paid memberships or looking for alternative sites after trying this out for a month or so.

Wow, Cold Fusion... that was like 20 years ago... which is how this site functions. They'd have to scrap and start from scratch... but the site would be more like Tinder/etc.

That said, I don't see them refreshing the platform to a newer version. That costs $$$$ and what's the motivation if x% is a lifetime member?

The site is written in coldfusion, so there aren't many developers who would be interested. It would be like finding a typewriter repair shop these days.

Surely, amongst the thousands of paying members of this website, there must be some top quality web developers who can advise/assist with dragging this website into the 21st Century? Given the huge number of paying members, the performance of this website and app (I use iphone) is verging on criminal.
