This website is pure garbage!! There is no excuse for the constant problems this site has, and all they do is sit in their chair and say, "well we are working on it", then the same thing happens again a few weeks later.. its constantly and its really getting old!
Everyone needs to remember that web site development is a new thing and folks who know and understand it are hard to find. I realize Al Gore invented the internet many many years ago but its still in its infancy when it comes to web sites and applications!!!!! Hard to even catagorize sls as a web site with all the glitches, problems and user unfriendly functions. Is there such a term as web-joke?
I cannot get pictures to load via any means. We are hoping to make some new friends on our vacation, but BLIND dates is not our thing. Raise the membership a couple bucks per profile if that’s what it takes to hire someone that had a clue how to fix this website.
It's been one thing after another with this site as far as problems and glitches go for many years and it never seems to end!
The pictures have to go all over China and Russia before the can be opened for viewing.
Yeah this ongoing picture thing is really inexcusable for a paid website.

No pics loading again this morning. You can't tell me this ongoing problem can't be fixed. Get someone that knows WTF they are doing and fix it!
When is all stuff getting fixed?
Pictures are loading normally this morning (and by normally we mean it takes a few seconds to load, not minutes) but the site is still behaving sluggish and "spongy" on our end, but that was the case before the "incident" so nothing new there. The picture upload function is still down, and a few pictures we were able to upload mid-week have yet to be approved, but I'm sure Wayne and his team of developers have their hands full trying to get all the kinks worked out of the system so approving pictures is not a top priority now, which is a shame for any new members trying to get their profile completed.
I suspect it’s all tied to the security breach which is likely ongoing. Photos make excellent extortion material.
Wow! Pic system has been down all day and no comment from Wayne or anyone from the site. Ever notice how these "glitches" always seem to happen on weekends or leading into a weekend.
Just rejoined in mid March and photos can rarely be uploaded. If one’s lucky enough to make it it still taken a week for G and PG photos to be approved.
It takes longer because SLS finally upgraded their system to Pentium processor servers and 56.6 modem. After all, only customer satisfaction in mind. And we, like others, have paid for the lifetime membership, so why would they care? Reminds me of Apple starting in a garage, but they made something out of it. SLS still is in the garage.

Thought it was our computer. Also, the Hot Dates only show up on the current day of listing. Tough to plan a meet up in the future. Occasionally an Event will show on a future date of Hot Dates.
It's exhausting to say the least. It's becoming a real waste of precious time and money. You would think this issue would be their number one priority.

Perhaps the hamsters on the photo server are at lunch?
I think its built on a very old and dated system there is no other reason I can find .. maybe its time they did some sort of upgrade

I'm taking a guess but from looking into the issues from last week the photos are not part of the actual site but pulled in from somewhere else.
This is not the first time this has happened and probably why the site was back up before the pics were.
The photo is issue is frustrating AF.
