User-created rooms in chat.

Agreed with the post above mine. Chat was fun, but now it is albeit useless. It seems other sites have better chat features..

I mean seriously how hard is it to at least just create State specific rooms even so people in those states can chat with members close to them instead of going into every room and trying to meet people whom are not 1000 miles away ? Used to love to chat on sls in the rooms been months now since I even went in there no use now.

Notice as per the usual the web masters and owners can respond to these forums but have once again chosen to totally ignore their members and the concerns for the ruining of the chat rooms here ! Real Classy ! SMDH !

I don't even fully understand how these work. When I click the chat link it will say 73 people are online, but then I don't see anyone in the chat. Are they invite only?

Why did they stop us from using new rooms free members cant create new rooms and now we cant either lol all about money they wont to free up web site so it wont cost them moor money .

LOL this has to be the rule of unintended consequences. Being an open minded, healthy married male I happened into the Fetish room this week. I kid you not but there was about 25 people in the room during my +/- 30-minute stay. The highlights of the conversation were 1) the amount of snow the mid-west has received this Spring, 2) a very in-depth conversation about the merits of organic gardening and 3) a spirited conversation about the NBA playoffs.

Now not to say I didn't have some interest in the three topics. However on a swing site with other open minded people it just seemed totally out of place, again when you consider the name of the room; Fetish. It was more akin to the type of conversation you'd hear on the commuter train in the morning.

Me? I'd classify it under the category of be careful what you ask for.

Ohh.....we all already knew that about the law didn't need to go elsewhere to see that. What everyone right now is talking here is the fact that webmasters in the past post on this forum and have many times except now that people are asking about the chat room issue. It has totally ruined this site for many people . Most people who were just paying to use the site are done . Free member we know npw are mad and will never pay a lifetime membership or monthly fees so it will be just the people whom are lifetime members here whom are dropping like fly;s it seems. Its very disheartening to see the site we have loved for 15 yrs get to what it is. I come check for mail check forums and go . Used to spend hrs here chatting in the rooms and having fun. That is now gone !

I was referring to the Law and why they shortened the list of chat rooms. When I reached out to them via email about adding more rooms I suggested a couple of them. The reply to my email said they were making a list of rooms to add but did not have an eta of said rooms....

They answered the pursuit of making more chat rooms? Where can we find this? Would have been nice to answer it here since this is under the WEBSITE forum to begin with .

I completely agree with all the posters above. The new restrictions are way over the top. Not having the ability to use a standard internet browser like Chrome in chat was debilitating enough. Now not having more variety of rooms in chat, and having put such limitations on free members is pulling down the usability of this site. I appreciate being within the law, but not having the freedoms with a paid membership is making the use of this site less appealing.

Dear Admin, please tell us when changes are being made to the website. It's frustrating to find things like this out only after spending time troubleshooting my own equipment and running virus scans. Thank you.

And I agree with what's being said here, could we please have some more "approved" chat rooms? For example, it's always popular to be able to share SLS galleries with others and chat about experiences. I like the idea of having state rooms too.

I understand why the change had to be made and am not arguing that point, you had to comply with new gov't rules. But I hope chat can continue to evolve into something we look forward to using again.

I understand the reason for the change. However can we lobby for some more rooms please? A generic Interracial or BBC or both would be helpful. They were usually popular and several of us connect there.

I see this as the beginning of the end of the site I have loved for 15 yrs. Its happened piece by piece through the years . Sooner or later it will be the final straw that sends the paying members out of here and when the money no longer is coming in to pay for the site . Well that is rather easy to figure out . Very disheartening .
