Question re profile update

It is one of the frustrating things about how this web site is run. It’s supposed to help those in the Lifestyle meet each other, yet they make you rely solely on using a section/page that not everyone might look at.

Yep we have had updates denied with no explanation. We are supposed to guess what the issue is. We even had an update denied once and the issue was something that had been in the profile for ages ... but nobody saw it until now so it got denied. And have gotten denied for putting in our tagline where we will be for the next couple weeks .... heaven forbid somebody see that.

Thanks, vabeachcouple. That makes sense. About all you see here regarding lifestyle travel revolves around Bliss cruises, whereas on other sites you see a wide variety of hotels, resorts, etc. So I guess there’s a business/ownership relationship. And they don’t want any mention of other LS travel options, though resorts and cruises are two vastly different experiences. Thanks for the info.

This question has been posted many times. The answer is some variant of:

That's what HotDate is for. Use the right tool for the job.

Never mind that it's your tool or that you paid for it. Why they care so much about saying such a thing on your profile is bewildering to me, but they won't budge on it.

Oh unless it's the Bliss Cruise. Because that's advertising for them.

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this.

I recently updated our profile to state that we’re going to travel to Desire RM in October. I’ve done this in the past with other trips just to see if anyone else wants to meet if they’re in the same place. Never had a problem until now. The update was rejected with no explanation.

The only thing I updated was the travel plans, so assume that caused the rejection. The question is “why”. What would SLS care about our wanting to meet other couples at a resort? Note that per the rules, I never list any contact or other personally identifiable info, so that isn’t an issue.

Any thoughts? I did add the info to Hot Date, so we’re covered there, but this move on the profile seems kind of petty.
