No more Reciprocal block?

Also, in order to get a paragraph break after your first paragraph, hit enter four times. After that, you only need to hit enter twice to get a break.

Thanks Scamp

There are two types of block.

If you block a specific profile, you can't see their profile (nor forum posts) and they can't see yours and neither can contact the other.

If you block a segment (ex: single males) you can still look at their profiles and forum posts and you can message them but if a single male clicks on your profile, they get the message you received. I'm not sure if they can reply to your message.

Today a single guy looked at our profile.

We went to look at his and was told that he blocked our type of membership.
Yet he was able to block us and see our complete profile.
We were able to figure out how to block him back
This line to test paragraph break
Why do people who block us can see our profile?

An improvement I can actually get behind. Kudos SLS

The removal of the reciprocal block is by design. It was confusing to members to all of a sudden have a profile show up on their blocked list that they did not put there. As long as one person has a block on, neither party can see each other. The main difference now is that if you accidentally block someone, you can unblock them without them having to also go in and remove a block.

I could be mistaken (I often am) but I think only the person who initiates the block can remove it. If you block someone, they can't unblock you and see your profile. It only means that if you initiated the block, you can unblock them later and immediately see their profile without them having to unblock you.

Wayne did message me to say that he wasn't aware that the reciprocal block had been removed but confirmed that it is the case. He is now checking to see if it is a bug or by design.

Dammit, you're right. I like reciprocal blocks. If I go so far as to block someone, I don't want them to see my account, my posts, or what parties I sign up for. When I block, it isn't just so I won't be bothered by human gnats, I also want us to have zero to do with one another.

Do I also want to mute someone, where they can still see me? Sure. But I want reciprocal blocks as well.

I agree and hope they did away with it. But like most SLS "improvements", it's either a bug or a mistake.

I never understood the purpose. It made the unblock almost impossible.

So a forum poster blocked us, then a day later unblocked us without us unblocking him from our end and we can now see each other's profiles and posts.

We are fine with that but are curious, did SLS do away with the reciprocal block?
