Last Update

We are on some other lifestyle sites and they include the field of "Last Updated". We try to keep ours reasonably up-to-date. It would be nice if the profile showed that information.

Looks like we're due for a new profile!

This is why we make a new profile every 5 or 6 years.. we are now older than some couples we met 10 years ago.

We called a guy on this a week or so ago. He said had not updated his profile since he made it. He had been a member 10 years. Then claimed his age was only 6 years off and he had just changed his profile. Well his profile only reflected a 5 year difference and he told us he was a year older in messenger. Oh and his pictures were supposedly only 3 years old. None of it really mattered as his story was not adding up and was beginning to smell a little. None of it holds a candle to this guy who was 20 years older than his "age" and pictures though. We actually did not ask enough (or the right) questions when we decided to have a face to face meeting (we were a little rusty when we joined up). Oh and we have seen this in couples too even ones who actively attend parties. We found that out in reverse looking at a profile of someone we met at a party. The ages were off by years and pictures were of them when they were younger. Now in their defense they go to a lot of parties and clubs associated with SLS versus do the whole meet online and meet up. Our thing is you need to keep your info current and true (although we need some new pictures ourselves) because that is a direct representation of how much effort you are putting in to making and keeping connections even if you just use your profile to message folks you met face to face first.

It might be worth adding a field to the display of each member showing the last time the profile was updated or pictures added. We can see the date the member initiated a profile but that's it. We often wonder when reading a profile that is 5 or 6 years old and it says, "Interesting in seeing if we like swinging," or something to that effect. If you haven't figured it out in 5 years, it might not be for you!

It would also serve as a reminder to members to keep their profiles up to date. Things change and it would be nice if we made the effort to keep our profiles current.
