Hot Date

When I change the location and hover over the hot dates it shows people in that location. If I click on the hot dates, it shows dates in near my home location. What gives SLS?

so now, I put location in hot date, it shows the people going when I hover over dates, then I click and it shows nobody

it does this whether I delete the location or not.

Still not working correctly.

Interesting, thanks 888. This is messed up to the extreme. So I deleted all of my locations. I then added location for where i'm attending an event this weekend. everything looked good and when I clicked they all came up. then I put the location in the field and it pulled up based on my current location. It's pulling my current location from my IP address I think because I deleted everything and the location it's showing isn't my home town either.

I suspect they may have done some messing with the code in that space. I have about a dozen locations saved for hot date and they are still there, however, when I select my town, it defaults to another place saved, so I had to delete it.Then it asked for a place to set my default hot date location; after selecting my home town, then added the deleted location back in and not a problem since...…. weeeeeeird indeed!

Well hot dates changed in since we checked around 2pm. It may be easier to use with different locations.

Interesting -- I did delete/add a couple, but that was last week. Hadn't thought there was a connection, but who knows. Would be nice if management would provide some input so we all know what is going on.

Had any of y'all recently deleted old locations? I didn't have a problem until immediately after I deleted three old Hot Date locations. That's when I lost the drop-down "select location" menu, and everything got borked.

If you had saved locations for Hotdate, they too have been deleted. As I travel for work, it now is a PIA to check where I will be traveling -- or post there.

Searching new hot date locations does not work anymore

Yes, and make any related profile changes WELL in advance to boot. We submitted a profile change before lunch yesterday changing our tagline to show we were going to a local club that night. We had a meet and greet, danced, partied, played and had breakfast since then...still hasn't been approved.

Painful.

With the new laws they have to follow & we're assuming short staff, SLS makes last minute Hot Date postings very difficult. You'll likely need to post the day before or early the same morning if you can.

I feel for you. I'm sure they are monitoring this thread but will not let us know what the real issue is. We don't use other sites so we have no way to compare.

8PM....finally approved....I posted it at 2pm. Unbelievable....too late now.

That is an understatement. It simply doesn't work anymore. We paid hard earned money to be on here. 5 hours since I posted our hot date and its still not approved! its now 7:30pm and the chances that anyone will respond to it now being that its getting late are slim.....so basically SLS ruined my potentially good night. Other sites don't need to approve similar hot dates, why aren't they freaking out about the new law? Why does SLS feel it needs to approve hot dates with an actual admin? Also lifetime members approve profiles, pictures.....but God forbid they are allowed to approve hot dates. They might let mention of a particularly renowned chat app slip on by....

To say I'm pissed is a slightly smaller understatement than "They need to get faster at approving hot dates on the weekends"

The staff has to read each hot date to make sure there is no off site contact info included in the listing. Yes they need a quicker way to get the approved on the weekend.

I am currently waiting....yet again for a hot date to be approved for tonight. Why can't it be up to lifetime members to approve, like the pictures and profiles? Wouldn't that speed things up? Sooner or later people are going to gravitate somewhere else if things like the hot date feature are basically useless.

Why does SLS have to approve Hot Dates? And if it is required, why does it tske so long? We posted one Friday evening for Ssturday night and as of almost noon om Ssturday, it hasnt been posted yet. Its rediculous!!!! How can we get this changed???

I guess if you want to add a hot date now a days you need to do it 4 days b4 hand. We are a spur of the moment type couple and 6 hours to approve is crazy

There needs to be a quicker way to approve these dates. I saw it was a nice day this morning and posted a date. It is close to 3. My post read loooks like a nice day out there. I may have to change it to a nice night. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Hot Date Rules

1. No cost
2. No kik, email address or phone number, no outside contact information
3. No advertising

Hot Dates will not be seen by members until they are approved by staff.
