188 rooms at Hedo......FYI, he claims to be with the same group I was

500 people at any one time.

I would think that a single person would be easy to miss unless there was some really distinguishing feature.

Say a 12 inch penis or something...

Aren't they down to one Hedonism? The original one, aka Hedo 2.

It has been since 2003 since we were there, but I think there are something like 250 rooms.

We have friends that are there every January. They told me that they took out the trampoline and the slide.

How many people are at Hedo at any one time?

How many Hedos are there?

have never seen you at Hedo..if you really go...we have met others from Maine...just not you somehow....not to mention wouldn't give the time of day to a Trumpanse

@marion, that ro person is brain dead, not even worth the time to debate anything. Like I said earlier, ro is a very unhappy person. Says he goes to Hedo, says he has never seen me, well, if I ever see that person (again) I'll make sure to introduce myself.

Maybe it's your nap time or something... Your argument is becoming childish

marion...so what!

Hamilton, AL, Us

@RIO: maybe I do. But I'm not. Because I had the kung flu. My family had it. Were over it. The end. I don't know a single person (I'm very very much in the public space & meet new people every day) that has had a single long term effect from COVID, bad enough to prevent them from continuing to work. Basically, you either had a light or a bad case. The end. Anything beyond that is either a statistical anomaly, or making shit up to get on disability. Unless it's a regional thing... Idk... Maybe smog & second hand crack pipe smoke may have altered the version y'all got.

AI is not new, been around decades....same technology that can't pronounce street names on your GPS

You need educated on your draconian view on Covid-19

Hamilton, AL, Us

As far as A.I. , that's shit needs immediately & universally outlawed, banned & considered a crime against humanity.

Hamilton, AL, Us

From what I can tell, it's just repercussions from getting COVID. Hell, half the symptoms could be psychosomatic. I also don't see where it's common enough, at a level strong enough, for me to ever spend another minute reading about it.

its a thing look it up

@Marion

Congrats, you have insurance to cover for a lot of issues. Unfortunately, that policy will not pay out if you get long haul covid, but yes, it SHOULD pay out if you are paralyzed.

But guess what . . .

You are still using the SYSTEM. You are still relying on OTHERS. Please, seriously, think the bigger picture here.

Because of the government, you have regulations that give YOU peace of mind that the insurance company will be solvent and payout. There are federal and state laws that make that happen.

There are so many things that are interconnected that it is hard for a human to identify all of them. This is the big AI issue, AI can handle millions of connections, but humans, not so much :(

But that regulation came from politicians. That law was drafted by attorneys. That law was tested by the judicial system and attorneys. You, are by definition, relying on the work of others for your own benefit. Everyone stands on the shoulders of the people before them who put what we have in place today and moved it forward. The system didn't start out perfect, it was tweaked to get better. But the framework was there to make that an option.

There is something that I do not think you have not witnessed yet. One of my attorneys in Florida specializes in Title VII law. If you are not aware of that type of law, it is employment law. This attorney, who is a friend, I have known since 1989. I was contemplating getting my JD and practicing. I wound up going a different way. I asked him then, why he left the largest law firm in the SE, as a partner, to go out on his own and practice this type of law. He said something that meant zero to me at that age, but now means everything. He stated, "A person's job is their reason to live, their reason to get up. It impacts everything about them." As I was self-employed, I thought, well, fuck, just start a business. If things were that easy. I heard of cases he took on. People were being fired because of their age. There were two components to it. The insurance premiums for a 55 year old guy is A LOT higher than that for a 25 year old guy. A person of 55 will have a lot more experience and justifiably have a higher wage than someone who has little to no experience. The problem for the 55 year old was getting a NEW job after he was fired. This attorney sued the fuck out of companies for these actions. You, more than likely, when you hit that age, will be a person who benefits from that law. You will rely on it. This is partially why I say libertarianism is bullshit. It sounds great when you are 20 and you are full of ideals. Then you get into the real world and realize that in the US the only philosophy that is truly espoused is capitalism, but not a fair version, but a greedy version.

It's certainly the best looking horse in the glue factory, but building a backstop to ensure ones way of life only makes sense. The system works* is a bit of a leap of faith, but it mostly works. It's only prudent to assume the whole thing will go titts up.. I've got my bases covered, just in case. I seem to remember you making a lose reference to me becoming disabled & needing to rely on the system? That's what the 2.5M AD&D policy is for. Add in the fact that in that event my 401k & other 2 retirements become available to me.... I'll make do...

@Marion

Should ignorance hurt?

Thanks for admitting that the system does work. It is not perfect, nothing is. But it is damn good.

“the suggestion SS age will become 70...will never happen...the republicans could never get 218 votes”

It will eventually happen. But it will take decades to become fully implemented. Based off of ages I see here. None of us will have to worry.

Hamilton, AL, Us

@ A E: of course I've seen the system work. But YOU are the one saying we should rely on it. I'm saying we shouldn't rely on it being reliable. And yes, people let themselves down every day... Stupidity should hurt...

Hamilton, AL, Us

@rio: it's been a bit of a birdwalk for sure, lol. I was content when I conceded the point, yesterday.

FYI..401k funds are drastically underfunded... They do not have the funds to payout the principal, let alone the interest they claim to have gained

Jesus marion..take a breath once in awhile....keeping on topic...the suggestion SS age will become 70...will never happen...the republicans could never get 218 votes

" I've actually seen the failures of the fragile system cost people their lives. So, I am a little bit jaded."

There are two parts to that.

Aren't you promoting self-reliance? If you are, then didn't the people fail themselves? The system should NOT matter.

Have you seen the system save people's lives? Is it only just doom and gloom?
