I've been online for 28 years. When proven wrong over and over, I've seen people slink away, try to out-argue, try to out-research, Gish gallop, move goalposts, tone troll, threaten, on and on. But this bullshit? This is new, and all conservatives seem to be doing it now. Openly, passive-aggressively and shamelessly whining about someone knowing more than you? When the hell did that become accepted behavior for an adult?

@8inch AMEN. I agree that what we have been witnessing the President PUSSY GRABBER doing, and the Republicans that have gone along with him, has been treasonous and an affront to the Constitution. It's fine and right to challenge things legally, to bring any evidence he may have to a court of law and argue your case. He had every opportunity to do so, and he clearly just did not have ANY EVIDENCE since all of the courts pretty much threw out his cases for lack of evidence and standing. Republicans seem to say they are the party of law and order, but they are in fact the party of fascists and power above all.

The USA is still a profoundly religious nation compared to European countries where there are a much higher percentage of atheists.

I need to check the statistics but in USA only 10% atheist compared to 40% in Northern European countries.

Evangelical Christians make up something like 20% of the population

In short, for many in the USA, their Oracle is God, and for some weird reason, they seem to think Trump is in the side of God along with the GOP.

Alas, they seem to measure holiness in stuff like position in abortion rather than on care for the sick and poor.

For another significant part of GOP voter base or base of financial support, their Oracle is Mammon.

Mammon delivered a big tax cut for the rich to its followers, a tax cut that may be the best accomplishment in the hearts and minds or greedy souls of many GOP voters.

Their Oracle is also as white as Santa Claus and owns guns.

I’d add that many in the GOP like an Oracle that pays back or mocks the elite for looking down upon them.

Alas, the Democratic Party has a problem with this elitism, which smacks of city people looking down at people from the country or rural areas. (Just as they look down at country music).

One thing I have mentioned in conversation with my wife is the concept of the Oracle.

I told her, I need to find out who these people's Oracle is. That is the person that needs to be speaking the truth. Because these people who are following that Oracle are misleading them and probably for their own self gain.

Is Rush Limbaugh an Oracle? To some he is.

Is Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham an Oracle. To some one/all of them are.

The issue that we are having is that there is no Oracle for some, but the horse's mouth that is being listened to. There needs to be a medium that has an Oracle that these people will trust who will not lead them into this abyss of bullshit.

The Republican party has always been like twitter. They are limiting themselves to what is trending and it has to all fit in 140 characters.
