It isn't free. You still pay for it. Your taxes will go up and you will not have to pay premiums. Want to see this happen REALLY fast? It requires a change in the IRS code. Do not allow corporations to deduct the premium and have the premium go to the employees as income. You will see in 30 nanoseconds after the person does their taxes that they want change immediately. Based upon what your writing skill shows, would you pass that test today? Would you like to be suppressed to vote?

Obama and Trump have wiped student debt already. You just haven't talked about it. If you want a shot to the economy that would actually be an incredible thing to do. I realize that math is not your strength, but if a person has a $800 student loan payment each month, it kinda keeps them out of the loop of being able to save for a starter home. If you keep people out of starter homes, then a lot of negative will happen to real estate. Look at France, we are headed in that direction with real estate. And just think . . . with more renters, the Real Estate lobby will start to lose some luster and you will probably see two changes to the tax code: No more interest deduction on a mortgage and no more 2 of 5 rule. The 2 of 5 rule was the means in which people got some wealth and were able to move up in housing.
