Except Australia never said covid is a China bio-weapon, but most of the rest.
China is trying to expand its control of Southeast Asia, and Australia (one of the largest suppliers of raw materials to Southeast Asia) is cutting deals with other nations and shipping the raw goods through water China claims as their territory but no other nation recognizes as China.
As has been the case for 70 years, the largest point of contention is Taiwan, which China claims is a state in rebellion, but the rest of the world recognizes as a separate country.
Let's pretend there was an island off the Georgia coast in 1860s. Then, when the Confederates lost, all the leaders went to that island and declared themselves a separate country, then the rest of the world recognized the island as a separate country, but the USA still claimed it is part of Georgia, so part of the USA.
Well, that is Taiwan to China. It was part of China, but then broke off when China fell to communists. Australia continues to treat Taiwan as a separate country, which passes China off.
Also Hong Kong. China took it back from UK with agreements it would continue to be capitalist and ruled seni-independently. However, communist mainland has been exerting more and more control. Australia continues to support the opposition to that increased control.
