DAMN! That was one long sentence. My one and only stint having to stand in the corner was just a few days.

MB, warning, Talking to 8cm will send you to far away places, a mental institute for one, proceed with caution...
With the weather turning cooler, there's limited time left for barbeques to happen before the weather gets too cold. Are anybody planning to grill until the weather changes to living in Siberia?
8 Inch,
I won't go in to details, nor state who was involved. But will state what I did forced the hand of SLS to fix the errors that the site was having at that time. My penalty for forcing that hand was a ban from forum posting.
With some work over the last few days with a SLS Customer Service Rep and myself, the ban was lifted. The ban was lifted after ten years, as things were brought to light after other forum posters made postings that were similar to what I posted ten years ago and they had not suffered the same fate that I had.
For the safety of SLS and my ability to be able to post in the forums again, I won't get involved in the details of what the conversations between the SLS Customer Service Rep that I worked with and myself. But, it is all squared away between SLS and I. I will not destroy the working relationship with the SLS Customer Service Rep that I worked with.
Melvin,
What was the final straw that got you suspended? And why so long?
I was scrolling through old topics and found this gem of a topic. I am not kicking a dead horse here, but am adding my two cents since I now have my Forum posting privilege suspension lifted.
'Sticks, while I can not excuse the single male that did this to you, you are correct in saying the single male should bring more than just a chicken leg, should have updates pictures and have updated the weight on his profile. As a single male, I would be privileged to have been invited to your barbeque. I at least would have brought a chicken foot to go on the grill as well! :-D
But, overall, it is etiquette that when invited to a barbeque, that you bring something to add to the food spread. Unless it is a dietary need and already discussed with the hosts ahead of time, do not show up with a portion of food only for yourself for your host to cook it for you. That is a complete insult to the host.
Seems a picture may have avoided some disappointment. Love and learn.
To be honest I think more folks have to update their stats and be honest with themselves when setting up their profile.
Sounds like you need to screen the guys better..
Rough cut round I suppose??
So what cut of meat should I reference when I resemble a bowling ball with ears?
Don't ya love it when ya bring a fine piece of steak to the BBQ and that single male whom has a ticket to eat thinks your bringing a chicken leg. If your overweight and completely out of shape have the common dignity to state it on your profile instead of stating your 6 feet 200 pounds with an athletic build. Nothing like wasting not only your time but ours too. If we are bringing steak make sure you have the qualities to taste it otherwise stick to eating spam out of the can man.
