This actually sounds a lot like the incident I described 111 days ago in this very thread. I was enitrely in the intersection, although perhaps not as much as an impatient New Yawrkah would have liked me to be. His action caused two cars to have entered at the same time (which a cop stumbling upon the scene would have assumed meant I entered when it wasn't clear for me to).

The incident you're referring to is listed in Wikipedia under the name Hollywood Stuntz gang assault. Several of the bikers received prison terms for the incident.
As for people who shoot at other drivers - I don't know what the fuck is wrong with anyone who does anything like that. There was an incident here in Orlando back in May where a merging car bumped into another, and the bumpee chased down the errant driver and shot him in the fucking head.
Most people are good people. But WOW there are some bad people out there.....
Also, here in Milwaukee there's been quite a few highway shootings.

Years ago in NY state, about 70+ Club riders hogged the road. And being str8 ASSHOLES.
The family in a SUV was blocked in and had their windows smashed by a rider swinging his helmet.
There were kids in the backseat, mind you.
Driver speeds off, and ends up running over a few riders, one paralyzed.
A few undercovers and a few cops who were just members, all had their ID's blown.

Then this past yr, a biker and a car go at it in the "fast lane" and the HOV lane.
Both swerving and fucking around. Rider kicks door of car, he swerves and hits center median, swerves into traffic,
and causes a SUV to flip like in the movies. Asshole rider didn't even stop. But they caught his ass later.
In Pa, and in many other states, left lane is pass only. You are not supposed to ride out there blocking others from passing. I just wish the cops would inforce that.
I was thinking about this thread earlier today. On freeways, I drive fast but not aggressively, although sometimes other drivers might not agree. Anyway, as is often the case, there was someone in the left lane going one mile over the speed limit, while the traffic in the right lane was going two miles under. I just patiently waited until there was enough space to pass on the right, while first making sure he wasn't going to move over. Then blew past at a high rate of speed, because the one thing that annoys me is people who accelerate so you won't pass them.
Va, some of these ass holes are so selfish they think they are more important that everyone else.

So I'm sitting at a flashing yellow waiting to make a left, when some jackass with a New York plate passes me on the right and blocks the intersection in front of me! I was pretty incensed about it and honked. He then proceeded to try to wave me around him. He then shouts at me "go, you idiot!" I shouted back "I can't see anything your car is blocking everything just go!".
He then gave me the finger and stuck me at the red.

For some odd reason, as I was driving down the highway today, I was thinking about the idea of someone intentionally throwing a large object (nut, in this case) out onto the highway as road rage revenge against someone who offended you.
How does the thrower guarantee that that object does not bounce or fly into someone other than the person that was the original target. Even if it hits no one initially, it is going to lay on the roadway until someone else's tire kicks it up into the air, making everyone on the road at that point a innocent target. NOT a good situation.

I had a feeling this would happen, think/say what you want, but I never "show" my sidearm, I open carry, easily seen by anyone whether I am on my Harley, in my truck or car, standing in line at the store or bank (yes, in AZ you can carry in banks too), or walking down the street. It could be a Jersey attitude, or Biker or Marine thing, but I refuse to be a victim, a motorcycle going down at 65 or 75 mph due to the asshole antics of a cager will be just as dangerous to other drivers as someone getting a cracked windshield, likely more so. Luckily, in this country, people are allowed to fight back, actions result in reactions, I have no intention of being a target just because of poor anger management of others while driving. A "psychopath", maybe, but only in terms of others opinions, not clinically, everyone has an opinion...FYI, I always make a point of smiling and even waving to those looking to express their displeasure (and showing my regret for any unintentional screw ups I have visited upon others).
I guess I'm not getting that job running the Arizona tourism program! LOL Everyone just be safe, and respectful out there on the road and we will all stand a better chance of arriving at our destination safely.

We have nothing against bikes or guns, just assholes who endanger others. Your attitude that if someone is rude to you, that entitles you to try to break their windshield and potentially cause an accident that may kill them and/or others and if they pull up beside you because of your actions, you show your gun tells me that you have serious anger issues and need to see someone before you succeed in killing someone.
You are why people want more gun control, you are a clear danger and have no business owning a weapon.

Let me clarify the situation, a motorcyclist (and passenger) are much more likely to suffer severe and even deadly injury from an "accident" with a truck/automobile. if and when I am tailgated, crowded, swerved at or have things thrown out the window in front of us, "brake checking", intentionally boxing me/us in with another vehicle just because I happen to be on a bike on the road is the original and initial attempted assault...I am not willing to be a target for every arrogant and ignorant mental midget bully on the road. I've buried way too many bikers just because the other guy was "just fooling around", "I never saw him", "I thought I had the right of way", "I thought they could stop faster than that"...all lame excuses for, "I was being an asshole, got someone killed and now I dont want to own up to the results of my being a nazi muffin jack off".
As for the "asstardness of carrying a weapon so that the people you attempted to kill feel threatened"...In Arizona, its constitutional carry, no permit needed to carry a firearm openly or concealed...my wife and I ALWAYS carry...even on the bike, I referenced the .40 cal only to illustrate how the jerks who originally created the situation, and take issue with my responses to their dangerous driving, suddenly become extremely understanding and polite when they notice that the focus of their rage is in a position to defend themselves from said road rage and quite able to fight back...with deadly force, if necessary.
I dont fault you for not liking my response to the situation or my post in general, but until you live it yourself...well, eh, to each their own, dont like bikes or guns, fine, dont get one...easy solution.
