IPL anyone?

BT[/quote]If doing IPL, skip the oil until after IPL is done, or shower to remove any film from skin. IPL works best clean and dry.

I decided to break out my IPL from last year's use. I did not stick with it as it was a pain to use, both in using and being a contortionist and time consuming.

Reason for going back was two fold. Summer time coming and my entry into SLS.

1st thing men usualky have thicker hairs than women. So getting stubborn hairs will give you temporary discomfort. The nice thing is you can dial back the strength. Mine ranges 1 through 9 and has 3 settings. Hair removal, blemishes and spider veins, and acne. Anyway, last years break from it allowed under arms to fully recover, but I did not do the sane treatment cycles as butt and clean up areas in the groin.

I started 2 months ago with once a week treatment, after a shave and hot shower. After 6 weeks I'm back to where I left off. 8 weeks hardly noticable still soft and smooth after a week before treatment. Hairs do grow in slower than before during the first 4 weeks. Though you don't notice it because the hair is deep into the skin. So it seens to ve growing when actually its being slow to fall out.

I admit thus second round went smoother and quicker for results. Given there was 7 month gap between the two.

For me 9 is for everything but groin. 7 is for groin areas.

Don't do scrotum area if possible. Too many viens that can cause burning sensation. You may even burn out a few veins that will keave long term pin prick spots.

One downside that can occur. When burning hairs out of a pour, you may get irritation and bumps, at the first 5 weeks. As a precaution rub in coconut oil in the area. I did not last year and it left post acne spots . They fade away quicker if tanning.

I guess you can call me metrosexual, but summertime work environment gets pretty sticky hot. Cleaning up nicely helps keep cooler than wetter. Even though I am not that hairy, it does make a difference.
