Free members?

I don't look at free member profiles or profiles without clear photos of both players.

If we had to pay monthly, we would not be members.

We just don't play enough to justify a monthly membership.

I think we paid $99 to join. We have been here over 10 years, so we are well below $1 per month on our membership.

We were new once as well and did the free membership until we figured out this was right for us. Also we originally started on CL and everyone knows that it was full of fakes and bots. We figured it would be the same here as well. We are lifetime members now. I think sls could ask for credit card info to verify a free acct is over 18 and not charge to be a free member. Maybe also limit the emails to 1-2 per day and view 10 profiles per day. Lots of things they can do to make it work and keep members joining.

I'm not sure there's much of a point to free membership, other than exploring the site to see if it's something on which you'd like to spend a fairly nominal sum. I've blocked free members since shortly after I joined, so as to cut down the signal to noise ratio, and I remain unconcerned about what they can and cannot do.

I believe that the past policy encouraged free membership, and that wasn't a good thing.

While I wouldn't see a very short trial membership as inherently evil, neither do I oppose the present policy that reserves all functions for paying membership.

The cost of membership on this site is nominal. In my view, a person who would not invest the insignificant amount charged for a month membership is either not serious or not legitimate.

What are your thoughts on free members not being able to read or respond to mail? Past policy on here allowed a free member 5 emails per day? I feel if they can not read or respond to emails they will not be able to get a true sense of this site so they may as well have only paid members what's the point of a free member?
