U R YYs...
It's either scary that I understand Goodenuff or proof that humans are really good at pattern recognition!
You're intelligent, if you buy a paragraph break (or a vowel) you'll be able to decipher it.

Best Guess Translation: I vaguely recall the cooler affair. I think someone asked them to buy a paragraph break and maybe a period and a dictionary. It was sad and funny at the same time but a lot of people did say something.
"...a pair a graph brake..." ??? I could decipher most of that, but no idea what this is.

i remember when one couple came in here to complain that they lost a cooler at a party and nobody reached out to them they asked everyone in their group and nobody could figure it out then they came in here to complain about it in exactly this writing style people replied in kind quite literally and it wasnt long until there were dozens of replies written exactly like this the funniest thing was that the complainant continued to reply in the same manner seemingly unaware of the fact that everyone was making fun of their ridiculous writing style it actually also had tons of typos which would have made this post even worse but my phone would be constantly.trying to autocorrect them all and that is more work than i would like
Yes, paragraphs make the longer forum posts much easier to read.
The internet has made people stupid.
This could apply to forum posts as well as messages, but I know that I personally tend to skip over things if it's one big blob of text vs the same thing with paragraph breaks.
Even though it's the same number of words, it just feels like a lot more effort to read something without paragraph breaks. For me at least, this is regardless of how interesting the message/forum post text is.
I'm more likely to respond to a message, but for most big blobs of forum post text, I just pass it by without reading them. If others here do the same, it may be something to consider. It takes almost no extra effort to add paragraph breaks, but it greatly improves the readability IMHO.
Well, there are a lot fewer since the great FOSTA la Vista a while ago.
sorry for those who think that just because I put CAPS i'm shouting, I'm not. Just putting an emphasis on the words. I'll correct in the future. Second. Like I said we are newbies, there are 10k posts in the past regarding this post i'm sure. BUT, in time things change, as does etiquette. Have a good weekend, all
Also tbr. ;-)
Well, yes, that would make me laugh too, because he's nuts and I can see him shouting it at bicyclists or anyone else he was mad at that week.
"people SHOUTING on the internet. "
Once in a while it's funny. I remember HFT once starting a thread called HAIRY PUSSY
I imagined this crazy old many screaming the words "HAIRY PUSSY!!!" and it made me bust into laughter.
Hi. Pet peeve: people SHOUTING on the internet. Maybe caption your topics without all caps?
You don't like it when people don't respond. That's fine, so don't be one of those people. I respond, usually kindly, but that's me. Other people do things differently and they're not wrong. As sorillo says, and he's quite wise, no response is a response.
Hello
This has been discussed many, many times, and people have differing opinions on the matter.
Given that your first two questions are ones that have many threads already discussing the topic, I'm guessing that you have more, and they will likewise be questions which have been answered many times.
Might I suggest you explore around the fora for a while and see what's already been discussed upteen times?
Good luck.
This has been covered 14,687 times through the fora.
No response is a response.
And, if you expect a particular behavior from another person, you are bound to be disappointed...
OK, keep in mind that we are Newbies. We are big believers in communicating. BUT, and this is not the only site we've seen this frustrating action. If a couple/single/etc. takes the time to say "HI" , can't you take 2 frikkin seconds to reply with "NO". Not gonna Happen, SOMETHING???. Why leave a person hanging?? I know there's plenty of BS with nasty comments and some folks who say, " I'm not even gonna justify those comments with a reply." But, in an adult world, if its just a matter of "HI" liked your profile, you go have a look and its not what you want. Just reply and say "NO"?? WHAT GIVES?/ Thanks for reading my rant, LOL.
